Abstract

This article examines the origin, morphological and anatomical structure, biological and physiological characteristics, ecological requirements, breeding directions, and economic importance of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.). As one of the world’s most significant oilseed crops, sunflower is widely utilized in food, technical industries, livestock production, and biofuel manufacturing. The study also highlights growth stages, photosynthesis, heliotropism, adaptability, and cultivation techniques.
