Abstract

The article provides a detailed analysis of methods for organizing fieldwork in zoology and highlights their practical and scientific significance. Fieldwork allows students to directly study animal species, their habitats, behaviors, and ecological interactions. The article also describes methodological approaches that help develop students’ observational, analytical, research, and ecological skills, including observation, organized expeditions, biological stations, photo and video monitoring, and the use of modern technologies. Special attention is given to the pedagogical importance of fieldwork, adherence to safety rules, and ecological ethics. The role of fieldwork in consolidating students’ biological knowledge, preparing scientific reports, and promoting the conservation of biodiversity is emphasized.
