the Decree No. PQ-191 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated
September 28, 2005, on the "Establishment of the Public Education Information
Network of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the Resolution No. 200 of the Cabinet of
Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 6, 2002, on "Measures for Further
Development of Computerization and Implementation of Information and
Communication Technologies," and the Decree No. 25 dated February 16, 2006, on
"Further Improvement of the System for Retraining and Improving the Qualifications
of Teachers." These documents indicate that this issue is being prioritized as a key
direction of state policy.
Relevance of the topic:
Every member of society continuously utilizes various
information resources in their daily activities. Therefore, a teacher can also improve
their professional and pedagogical skills based on the flow of modern information
technologies. In order for each teacher to use information technologies effectively in
their work, they must first create the foundation for shaping their own information
environment.
Today, there are a number of unsolved problems directly related to improving
the effectiveness of pedagogical education. These problems are related to the
informatization of the education system, the training of teachers in modern
information technologies, and the insufficient skills of teachers in using modern
information and communication technologies. One important aspect of this problem
is the attitude of teachers towards equipping education with modern information
technologies. However, currently, a number of initiatives are underway to equip all
educational institutions with modern computer and telecommunication technologies.
This, in turn, requires teachers to adopt a new approach to their work. The
introduction of new technologies into the educational process does not mean that
teachers are replaced by technical tools, but rather, it changes their role and
transforms teaching into a more versatile profession.
Modern information resources help teachers to improve their professional skills.
One of the first stages of shaping teachers' information culture today is the
development of modern computer literacy. Currently, in order to improve
pedagogical skills, teachers must be able to utilize the opportunities of modern
information technologies. The "Information Technologies in Education" course,
proposed by U.Sh. Begimkulov, focuses on forming the knowledge, skills, and
competencies needed for teachers to apply modern information technologies in their
professional activities. This course is thoroughly developed in terms of content and
standards and aims to improve teachers' pedagogical skills in accordance with current

demands. The goal of the course is to develop knowledge, skills, and competencies in
teachers regarding modern information technologies, technical tools, and software
essential for their professional activities and for the information society. It also
teaches teachers how to use modern information technologies to solve problems in
the educational process as well as in their professional activities.
The proposed "Information Technologies in Education" course will play an
important role in the professional development and retraining system of teachers,
particularly in equipping them with innovative knowledge. Teachers must have the
following competencies and skills to effectively use modern information technologies
in the educational and pedagogical processes:
Knowledge of the principles of storing, processing, distributing, and presenting
information.
Familiarity with technical tools applicable in education and their descriptions.
Ability to use the internet in educational processes and scientific research.
Understanding the methodology of using computer technology in the
educational process.
Knowledge of the main types of software and their application.
Ability to use information networks in solving practical problems in the
educational process.
Utilization of electronic learning-methodical resources for distance education.
Capability to create multimedia documents and projects.
Ability to describe the main properties and functions of interactive interfaces.
Understanding the opportunities and functions of different levels of computer
networks.
Familiarity with the fundamental principles of email operation.
Understanding the basis of hypertext technology.
Understanding the basic technological principles of the internet.
Knowledge of HTML basics.
Ability to create web pages and websites.
Use of modern information technologies in teaching various subjects.
Proficiency in using pedagogical software tools.
Basic understanding of modern programming languages.
Knowledge of the goals, content, and objectives of integrating modern
information technologies in teaching.
Understanding the didactic principles of implementing information technologies
in education.

Ability to use information technologies for organizing independent learning.
Knowledge of internet educational resources.
The competencies and skills listed above regarding the use of information
technologies will provide teachers with the opportunity to live in harmony with
modern knowledge. Today’s teachers, the "Generation Z" (born between 1990-2010),
must possess computer literacy. This is because they are teaching and nurturing the
"Generation Alpha" (children born between 2010-2024), who were born and grew up
in a world with the internet and computers. They work and conduct educational
activities using computer technologies. The next generation, "Generation Beta," will
be those born after 2025, and they will live in an era dominated by artificial
intelligence and neural networks.
In conclusion, in the ongoing 3rd Renaissance era, it is essential for teachers to
be highly competent in their field and able to work with modern technologies, just as
necessary as water and air. The new technologies and educational programs being
developed are not a threat to the teaching profession, but rather an opportunity to
enhance their work efficiency and utilize a wide range of possibilities. The
technologies used in the classroom are not only meant to ease the teacher's workload,
but also to present information in an engaging manner whether through presentations,
videos, or providing students with a clear understanding of complex concepts. We
must reform our education system, enrich it with innovations, and ensure we are not
indifferent to the education of the younger generation, as salvation lies in education.
After all, the future of Uzbekistan rests in the hands of its youth.
