CHEMICAL MODIFICATION OF TROPICAL WOOD: EFFECTS OF ORGANOTIN(IV) COMPLEX TREATMENT
This study explores the chemical modification of tropical wood through treatment with organotin(IV) complexes, aimed at enhancing the wood’s durability, stability, and resistance to biological degradation. The research investigates the interaction between organotin(IV) complexes and tropical wood at the molecular level, assessing the effects on wood's physical and mechanical properties. Samples of commonly used tropical wood species were treated with varying concentrations of organotin(IV) complexes and subjected to environmental stress tests, including moisture, fungal, and insect resistance assessments. Analytical techniques such as FTIR, SEM, and TGA were used to characterize chemical and structural changes post-treatment. Results indicate that organotin(IV) complex treatment significantly enhances wood durability and imparts resistance to biological and environmental factors, suggesting its potential as an effective preservative method. This study provides valuable insights into sustainable wood preservation techniques, particularly relevant for tropical environments.
THE ROLE OF EMPIRICAL BAYES IN PREDICTING APNEA EPISODES IN SLEEP APNEA PATIENTS
Sleep apnea is a prevalent and often underdiagnosed condition, with patients experiencing repeated episodes of apnea during sleep. Accurate prediction of these episodes is crucial for effective diagnosis, treatment, and management. This study explores the application of the Empirical Bayes (EB) method to predict the occurrence of apnea episodes in individuals diagnosed with sleep apnea. Using a dataset of clinical sleep study data, the Empirical Bayes approach was employed to estimate the probability of apnea occurrences, integrating prior information and observed data to refine predictions. The results demonstrate that the EB method provides more precise and reliable predictions compared to traditional statistical models, especially in scenarios with sparse or incomplete data. By incorporating both population-level and individual-level information, the EB method offers a valuable tool for clinicians seeking to optimize treatment plans and improve patient outcomes. This study highlights the potential of advanced statistical methods in enhancing our understanding and management of sleep apnea.
THE FATE OF A LINGUIST SCHOLAR (A LOOK AT THE ACTIVITIES OF KHALID SAID KHOJAYEV)
This article analyzes the activities of Khalid Said Khojayev, a linguist who played an active role in the Jadidism movement of Turkestan. He participated in the reformist movements of early 20th century Turkestan and contributed to the national press through his articles. Educated in Istanbul, he worked as a teacher and linguist, participating in language and orthography conferences. He authored numerous works on language, history, and literature. Living and working in Turkestan and Azerbaijan, he contributed to strengthening the cultural and fraternal ties between the two peoples. The article sheds light on Khalid Said Khojayev's activities by analyzing various press sources and scientific literature.
TEACHING BEYOND TECHNIQUE: THE EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS OF BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU IN BUILDING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
The article examines the role of Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the development of emotional intelligence and leadership qualities. The impact of regular training on self-awareness, emotion management, and interpersonal skills is assessed. The main purpose of the work is to study the contribution of Brazilian jiu-jitsu to the formation of leadership qualities such as responsibility, confidence, and the ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
The methodology of the work is based on qualitative approaches: observations, interviews with practicing athletes, and analysis of theoretical models of emotional intelligence. These methods allow us to establish the influence of martial arts on personal development. Scientific articles published by the author in the public domain, as well as materials that are on the Internet, were used as sources, which made it possible to comprehensively consider the topic.
The results confirm that Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes contribute to strengthening emotional stability, developing communication skills, and developing decision-making strategies in conditions of uncertainty. Training has an impact on controlling reactions in difficult situations, which affects the ability to interact in a team and solve problems.
The article will be useful for teachers, coaches, psychologists, and researchers studying the impact of sports on the development of emotional and social skills. The conclusion emphasizes the role of Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a tool for the formation of leadership qualities and the development of emotional intelligence.
The contribution to science is to highlight in the work the features inherent in jiu-jitsu in the field of intelligence and leadership development. The reviewed scientific papers confirm that regular practice helps to understand your feelings, manage emotional states, and analyze the experiences of other people. Participants learn to keep cool in stressful situations, cope with internal feelings, and build trusting relationships.
The training process develops leadership qualities. Working with mentors strengthens confidence, builds responsibility, and improves decision-making skills. Team training creates the conditions for practicing interaction skills, which are important for the successful completion of collective tasks.
DYNAMICS OF MOISTURE ABSORPTION IN MOVING THREADS
This article explores mathematical models developed to describe the moisture absorption process in moving threads. The models incorporate variables such as yarn density, structure, temperature, and ambient humidity. The study analyzes modern approaches and potential improvements in prediction accuracy. Special focus is given to the dynamic aspects of moisture absorption, which play a crucial role in producing fabrics with advanced technical properties.
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF FORM. AN IMPORTANT FEATURE OF THE SCIENCE OF PENCIL DRAWING IS ITS FIGURATIVE EXPRESSION AND INTEGRATION WITH VARIOUS DISCIPLINES
In this written article, students of fine arts, engineering graphics, architecture and design will be able to use the correct method of constructive analysis of geometric shapes, figuratively express each of the necessary features of the science of pencil drawing. In this place, the integration of these subjects with different subjects, teaching didactic and educational tasks based on synergistic competence is briefly explained.
