COOPERATION BETWEEN UZBEKISTAN AND TAJIKISTAN
DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract:
This article describes the establishment of diplomatic relations with
Tajikistan during the years of Uzbekistan's independence, political meetings, treaties,
and agreements between the two countries to this day.

bilan diplomatik aloqalarning o‘rnatilishi, to hozirgi kungacha ikki davlat o’rtasidagi
siyosiy uchrashuvlar, shartnoma va bitimlar bayon etilgan.

The friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is based on
common history, cultural and spiritual heritage, noble traditions of ancestors, and

“The Uzbek and Tajik people are like two branches of one tree, two tributaries of one
river. Our religion, land and water are one. United for one goal, in our joy and
happiness both in our sorrow and in our joy We are always together. Faithful to the
traditions of our ancestors, we will continue to build friendship and good
neighborliness between our peoples. and mutual cooperation their connections again

increase trade volumes, in 2018, 92 contracts and agreements were signed for the
supply of goods worth $202.5 million. In particular, on March 9-10, 2018, the
President of Uzbekistan paid a state visit to Tajikistan, while on August 17-18 of the
same year, the President of Tajikistan paid a state visit to Uzbekistan.

including the joint venture "Artel Avesto Electronics", which produces household
appliances that are popular among the local population.
In conclusion, I would like to say that, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have active
political and economic relations. cooperation save to stay, develop through in the
future has sufficient potential to become leading members of regional cooperation.
Taking into account their common aspects, strengthening cooperation between
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan can play an important role in the sustainable development
of the Central Asian region.
