Environmental factors influencing delayed cognitive development in children

Sobirjon Mukhammadiev, Ravshanjon Eminov
This comprehensive literature review investigates the environmental factors that contribute to the postponement of cognitive development in children. Essential elements such as maternal dietary habits, instances of malnutrition, exposure to air pollutants and heavy metal contaminants, as well as socioeconomic challenges are analyzed concerning their effects on cognitive, behavioral, and linguistic outcomes. Empirical evidence derived from epidemiological research and systematic reviews emphasizes the complex interactions between environmental exposures and delays in neurodevelopment. The article elucidates the critical significance of early intervention strategies and cohesive policy frameworks aimed at alleviating enduring cognitive deficits in the pediatric population.
