REFLECTIONS ON THE IMAGE OF THE NIGHTINGALE
Uzbek literature attracts the attention of literary critics with its diversity and wide range of images. From ancient times to the present day, these images have been manifested in their own unique way. Most of the images came from society and nature, and were initially found in examples of folk oral art. Classical literature serves as the foundation for the development of most of them. The image of the nightingale is widely used in both folk oral art and fiction. In folklore, it is found in songs, proverbs, folk epics and riddle, askia, and in fiction, it is found in Mahmud Kashgari's "Devoni lug'otut-turk". This article analyzes the genesis of this image and the scope of its use in Uzbek classical literature.

DEVELOPING WRITING AND SPEAKING SKILLS IN FRESHMAN STUDENTS THROUGH A CONVERSATIONAL GRID
This study explores the development of writing and speaking skills in freshman university students through the implementation of a Conversational Grid. The Conversational Grid is a pedagogical tool designed to integrate both dialogue-based and composition-based learning, providing students with a structured framework for enhancing communication proficiency in both oral and written forms. The research investigates how this grid approach can foster student engagement, improve clarity in expression, and facilitate a deeper understanding of academic content. Over the course of a semester, freshmen participated in activities that involved structured conversations, collaborative discussions, and writing exercises, all framed within the Conversational Grid. The results of the study indicate that students who engaged with the grid experienced notable improvements in their writing organization, argumentation skills, and spoken communication abilities. Moreover, students reported greater confidence in their ability to articulate complex ideas both verbally and in writing. This paper highlights the effectiveness of the Conversational Grid as an innovative pedagogical approach to bridging the gap between spoken and written communication, suggesting it as a valuable tool for fostering holistic communication skills in first-year students.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF TOLERANCE IN SOCIETY
In the current 21st century, the growing processes of globalization, when it is possible for a person to live and work freely and safely in society, is one of the most pressing topics of our time. If we take into account how many of the activities of international organizations, policies and programs of states are focused on this topic, we can see that members of today's society have not yet achieved stability and general well-being.
Although the priority laws and religious rules are always aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life for people, it can be seen that the principles of tolerance are not given enough attention in practice. In this article we tried to analyze this situation using the example of the history of Turkey and Iran, since they, like most countries in the world, have gone through a similar experience. Accordingly, a brief study of this issue allowed us to present certain conclusions.

USING COMMUNICATIVE TECHNIQUES TO ENHANCE VOCABULARY IN ESP CLASSES
While communicative approaches have received a lot of support in language education generally, their effectiveness in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses appears to have received less attention. The research on the use of communication techniques is examined in this study, with special attention to investigations. Additionally, the article addresses and demonstrates possible problems that teachers could encounter when applying communicative ESP methods and providing answers in Uzbek culture. Additionally, it looks at project work, problem-based learning, and task-based learning (TBL, PBL, and TBL) as three of these approaches. In conclusion, as long as communicative approaches follow a broad concept of learner autonomy, they can be highly successful in ESP courses.
