CLINICAL AND EMOTIONAL FEATURES OF IRRITATED BOWEL SYNDROME

Purpose of the study: to study the clinical symptoms, the level of depression and the quality of life in patients with IBS. Material and research method: a total of 121 patients and healthy people were examined. The patients IBS with intestinal manifestations were divided into 3 groups: IBSd (diarrhea) -51 patients (20 men and 31 women), IBSc (constipation) -66 patients (33 men and 33 women). IBSm (mixed) -4 patients (2 men and 2 women). Results: in the clinical variant of IBS with a predominance of diarrhea, the most intense abdominal pain syndrome was observed. With IBS with a predominance of diarrhea, deeper depressive changes are observed than IBS with a predominance of constipation and mixed type.
