ISSUES OF USING ELECTRONIC TEXTBOOKS IN THE PROCESS OF

PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT OF FOOTBALL COACHES

Abstract:

The article describes the effectiveness of the use of electronic textbooks in the training

course "Football Trainer".

Relevance and necessity of the topic.

Today, information and communication

technologies are rapidly developing in all areas of the economy. Computers, smartphones,

various types of gadgets are an indispensable tool of the educational process, and the issue of

using electronic textbooks designed for them is urgent.

Purpose of work.

Identification of current problems in the use of electronic textbooks in

the educational process of the "Football sport trainer" training course of the Institute of

Retraining and Advanced Training of Physical Education and Sports Specialists

.

Research methods.

Analysis and generalization of existing scientific and methodical

literature, regulatory documents, pedagogical observation, conducting questionnaires and

interviews among leading experts in the field, studying and generalizing best practices.

Literature analysis and methodology.

Today, the introduction of information and

communication technology tools, including electronic textbooks and distance learning systems,

into the educational process of Uzbekistan and the world is becoming more and more popular.

The study of the effectiveness of the use of electronic textbooks creates new opportunities for

scientific research. This process creates new opportunities for improving the quality and

efficiency of education, as well as for the process of training students [2,3,6].

Also, judging by the opinions of our Republic and foreign authors, digital electronic

textbooks usually have interactive elements that help to remember information better. In

addition, the visual and interactive content in these resources increases student engagement

and facilitates comprehension [7,8].

As a result of the study and analysis of existing scientific and methodical literature,

normative documents, existing electronic textbooks, it was determined that electronic textbooks

should meet the following requirements:

- the information provided in electronic textbooks conforms to modern educational

standards and the latest requirements of science;

- presentation of information in various forms (text, image, video, audio);
- adequate coverage of basic concepts;
- designed for use on computers, mobile phones and tablets;
- the presence of interactive elements, tests, animations and videos;
- the interface should be intuitive, provided with easy navigation and functions;
- it can be used even without the Internet;
- to be constantly updated and provided with modern information;
- materials and control tests appropriate to the level of the audience;
- enrichment with attached resources, videos and other instructions;
- an opportunity to exchange ideas between teachers and students;
- include videos, audios and graphics;
- clear instructions and support for listeners;
- there should be tests and evaluation mechanisms to evaluate the knowledge of the

listeners [2, 3,5,6,8].

The clear and effective structure of electronic textbooks allows trainers to acquire

important knowledge and skills. These resources help make the training process more

interesting and effective by meeting the individual needs of each trainee. As a result, trainers

play an important role in the development of football sports, acquiring the best practical

experiences in their field.

Results and discussion of the study.

Today, the creation of electronic textbooks for the

training of football trainers is an urgent issue of the training system. Therefore, at present, it is

important to raise the system of professional development and retraining to a new level of quality,

to introduce advanced pedagogical and modern information and communication technologies to

it, and to increase the effectiveness of education.

Today, the direction of training "football trainers" effectively affects the use of electronic

textbooks in the training module "Information and communication technologies in sports" to

increase the effectiveness and improvement of educational methods.

In our opinion, the teacher should choose teaching methods and technologies in such a way

that the listeners should not only acquire ready-made knowledge, but should also be given the

opportunity to search for knowledge from various sources, acquire it independently, form their

own personal point of view, justify it, and use previously acquired knowledge to obtain new ones.

The importance of electronic textbooks in the educational process is very great. They facilitate the

process of learning new topics by presenting subject information through audio, video, graphics,

and interactive elements.

Also, the speed of updating information in electronic textbooks is important. Traditional

printed textbooks are more likely to contain outdated information, which reduces flexibility in

analysis and learning. Electronic educational tools, in turn, allow to adapt to modern reality, ensure

timely updating of information. Students who use electronic textbooks can overcome their

objective and typical subjective shortcomings. This makes the use of electronic textbooks very

important in order to speed up the educational process, increase its efficiency and quality. Today,

electronic training manuals are among the most rapidly developing types of textbooks in the

process of professional development.

An electronic textbook is a didactic, methodical and interactive software system that

systematically contains lectures, scientific and practical knowledge. It allows to display the

necessary forms of information presentation, including complex cases of educational material

through multimedia technologies, i.e.

- the existence of a structure that provides enough knowledge to the listeners by providing

consistent and adaptive topics of theoretical and practical topics for these module courses;

- visual presentation of theoretical and practical topics;
- visual presentation of educational material with interactive elements;
- it is possible to visualize, clarify and make the learning process interesting with the help of

multimedia;

- check mastery of subjects (with the help of control tests);
- scientific and practical knowledge facilitates the understanding of the audience by

presenting the material in a practical context.

By using the electronic textbook, the listeners will have the opportunity to independently

work with information related to the field of sports, find answers to questions and check their

knowledge. This, in turn, improves the quality and efficiency of the students' knowledge in the

retraining system. The use of electronic textbooks provides opportunities to strengthen students'

knowledge, improve their practical skills and adapt to modern requirements.

In particular, the use of modern information and communication technologies in improving

the quality and efficiency of physical education and health training requires the use of new

electronic training manuals that meet the requirements of the time. Despite the great interest in the

use of educational programs for computers and mobile devices in recent years, the issues of their

creation and implementation remain problematic.

This is related, on the one hand, to the state of development of information and

communication technologies, and on the other hand, to the adaptation of the sports field to the

requirements of the times and scientific and technical progress.

From January 2025 to March 2025, sports trainers and experts of the field participated in the

interview, online and offline questionnaires, which were held in connection with the study of

problems related to electronic textbooks for the training course of sports trainers operating in sports

educational institutions.

In a survey conducted with sports trainers and experts in the field, who participated in

the conducted research, what educational resources do you prefer when learning additional

and new knowledge in depth on the module "Information and communication technologies in

sports"? to the question, 75.5% of the respondents noted that electronic textbooks allow the

listener to visualize new information, easily and firmly understand the topics, 8.8% online

course (MOOC) platforms, and 15.7% paper educational resources (textbook, training manual,

etc.) have an important place (Table 1).

Mobile phones and tablets play an important role in modern life, which shows their

usefulness and influence in various fields. The widespread use of these devices allows people

to communicate quickly and easily, and also facilitates the search for information on the

Internet. This means that electronic textbooks for mobile phones and tablets facilitate the

educational process, make learning more efficient and allow you to receive education at any

time and place.

When asked the question "What kind of technical devices do you mainly use in your

professional activities?", 88.7% of the respondents stated that they use mobile phones, 3.4% -

computers, and 7.8% - tablets in their professional activities (Figure 2).

Therefore, the electronic textbook should work not only on computers, but also on web

browsers, Android, iOS, and Windows mobile applications. It should also have a convenient

interface for mobile devices, the ability to master, mark, enter notes and save materials.

In our opinion, the teacher should choose teaching methods and technologies in such a

way that the students not only acquire ready-made knowledge, but also allow them to search

for knowledge from various sources, develop and expand their independent thinking, form

and justify their personal point of view, and at the same time, it is necessary to create an

opportunity to use previously acquired knowledge in acquiring new knowledge.

Respondents asked "Which state sources do you use for electronic information related to

the field of sports?" to the question, 70.6% said that they get information mainly from the

state domains of Uzbekistan, 20.8% from the state domains of Russia, -2.4% from the

domains of European countries, and 6.2% from the domains of Asian countries (see Figure 3).

Respondents asked "What sources do you use to get electronic information related to the

field of sports?" to the question, based on the information

Official websites providing sports information - 17.6%, Social networks (Telegram,

Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) - 54.9%, Video platforms (sports content, training,

competitions on YouTube, YouTube and video platforms) - 27.5% (see Figure 4).

At present, the widespread penetration of information and communication technologies

into the system of professional training of sports professionals requires the active use of the

possibilities of modern technical development technologies and software products on modern

devices to improve the quality and efficiency of the educational process. In particular, in

recent years, the use of mobile phones, computers, tablets in the use of resources intended for

the field of sports has become a requirement of today. This is a factor in the use of new forms

and methods in the field of sports and the creation of a new form in addition to traditional

methods.

It should be emphasized that over time electronic textbooks will provide wide

opportunities in the educational process and independent learning, and they will completely

replace paper textbooks in the educational process. Despite the fact that paper textbooks are

familiar and easier to read, electronic textbooks are becoming more and more popular every

year due to the wide range of possibilities they offer.

As a conclusion, it can be noted that effective use of electronic textbooks by students of

"Football sport trainer" is one of the important and priority directions of the development of the

sports education process. To date, effective use of information and communication technologies

and tools has been established in our republic, and it is deeply involved in the process of

education, including training of personnel. Electronic textbooks are a convenient tool for use in

the educational process. They help increase audience engagement through interactivity and

communication opportunities. Also, rational use of information communication technologies,

that is, separation of necessary and reliable information related to the field, develops analytical

skills of listeners.
