In this article, patriotic women in history were remembered in the example of Tomari and Qurbanjon Dodkhoh.

INTRODUCTION
Our history is very old and rich. The writer brilliantly
pointed out that it is a mistake to dismiss many events
of our past as non-events or legends. Of course, it is
believed that there is a trace of existence and truth in
them.
Our brave women, like Tomaris and Kurbanjon
Dodkhoh, have been in history for their bravery and
patriotism.
Loving one's country, serving it faithfully, mobilizing
one's div and soul for its development, peace and
independence, and living selflessly are the main
principles of patriotism. The country is known to the
world by its real patriots. The personalities of Tomaris,
Siparangiz, and Zarina emdiv the same image of
people. Tomaris led his people to the right path and
won the battle, and Zarina fought for her country even
at the cost of her life by showing her courage and
bravery. Siparangiz's character, which put honor
above all, should be an example for the current young
generation. Only a child who embodies these qualities
in them will be at the level of a true patriot today.
When a person lives in harmony with the worries and
joys of his motherland, and can even sacrifice his life for
the Motherland, patriotism becomes not just a feeling,
but a high human virtue.
Remember the well-known story from Herodotus'
book "History": Thomaris, who did not fall for a trick of
the Persian king Cyrus (also known as Croesus or
Cyrus), lost her son due to the cunning king's next trick.
In this battle, the Massagets had the upper hand, and

Tomaris put the head of the defeated king in a blood-
filled pot.
Every time I read this story, I imagine Tomaris as a tribal
leader, a warrior, a woman, and a mother. What
mother wants to see her child die? Perhaps the love of
the country in her heart, the high, divine feeling that
we call "patriotism" today, which connected with the
blood of the navel that dripped on her soil, prevailed
over the stain of a child in the heart of Tomaris? The
country's grief, the protection of the land it was born
in caused her to gather all her strength in one place and
win?
Moreover, she was not only a mother, but also a
woman. There is a type of woman who is sweet-
spoken, and her nature is more inclined to beauty,
comfort, and leisure than to fight and rush. However,
Tomaris was a wise woman who understood the root
cause of the Persian king's promises related to the
provision of a full life for marriage, preferred the
difficult path - fighting. She considered the fate of her
people as her own.
In the next pages of our history, another figures are
visible to us. This is Kurbanjon Dodkhoh, the Queen of
Oloy, a determined woman who was able to resist the
Russian invaders, who left many men behind in her
bravery and heroism, and who was able to force the
Russians to come to terms with her. Unlike Tomaris,
there is much information about her in historical
sources. From these sources, we know that Kurbanjon
Dodkhoh lived in 1811-1907. She was the wife of the son
of Alimboy Dodkhoh Hasanboy, who was a minister in
the Kokhan Khanate, and the mother of 5 sons and 2
daughters. After Alimboy Dodkhoh married her, he
brought her to Kokhan - the khan's palace and
introduced her to the circle of noble and virtuous
women of that time, court ladies Nodirabegim and
Uvaisi. In this sophisticated atmosphere, Kurbanjon's
views were formed, she not only took a place in the
ranks of the smartest women of that time, but also
began to actively participate in political and social life.
During the beginning of the Russian invasion of Central
Asia, Kurbanjon appeared as a defender of the
country. It is known from history that he and her sons
took an active part in the famous Polatkhan uprising,
and after this uprising was brutally suppressed, the
supporters of the freedom movement united around
Kurbanjon Dodkhoh. During that violent period, the
name of this woman became so famous that it even
reached the palace of the Russian emperor. Kurbanjon
Dodkhoh was a fierce, proud, courageous woman who
knew her worth. According to historical sources,
Russian generals were also forced to compromise with
her and make peace. It is said that Russian General
Skobelev sent Major Ionov to her in order to talk to
Kurbanjon Dodkhoh. But the Dodkhoh did not accept
the major and sent him away, saying that she will enter
into negotiations only if someone of equal rank comes
to her. General Skobelev, who did not expect this and
was left in a helpless situation, he was forced to talk to
her as the "Queen of Oloy". And later, it was recorded
in the sources that the Russian generals dealt with her,
and even the Russian empress herself sent a gift to
Kurbanhan.
Kurbanjon Dodkhoh, like Tomaris, was a mother who
bravely faced this separation. One of his sons,
Kamchibek, was executed. While narrating this
incident, the academic poet Gafur Ghulam gave the
following assessment to the Kurbanjan Dodkhoh:
"The Queen of Oloy - Kurbanjon the Sacrifice, gathered
the people around her as a general in the Pamirs from
1865 to 1880 and fought against Fon Kaufman with a
bare sword in her hand. She was such a brave woman
that when her son was captured by Kamchibek

Kaufman and hanged on the gallows, she came to the
gallows and cried out to her son:
- Goodbye, my son, your ancestors died in the hands of
the enemy, martyrdom is our inheritance. May the milk
I give you be white! - is a woman who was able to turn
the reins of her horse and turn her back on the
suffering of her son.
Later - in 1898, the grandsons of Kurbanjon Dodkhoh
took an active part in the national liberation uprising
against the Russians. And they stood firm in the
protection of the country, the auspicious work started
by their mothers. Dodkhoh herself lived a long life and
died at the age of 96. Her brave life, written in golden
letters in the history, is still read again and again with
admiration and admiration, pride and pride...
So, the stories about our mothers with fire in their
hearts, which the modern storytellers tell us with
interest, are proof of one fact: bravery, bravery and
heroism do not depend on gender, either they choose
a place or a nation. The image of the brave girls who
are depicted in folk epics and fairy tales, like Oybarchin,
Oysuluv and princess Husnabad, whose steps sparkle
with fire, is not created for nothing.
