Introduction:
Music is an integral part of human
culture, it is not only a means of artistic expression, but
also a powerful social phenomenon that affects the
development of society. In each era, music has found
its reflection in various aspects of human life - from
religious ceremonies to labor processes, from solemn
holidays to personal inner experiences. Music is
distinguished by its direct impact on the human psyche:
it embodies such emotions as joy and sorrow,
happiness and suffering, and affects the spiritual world
of people.
Today, in an era of increasing globalization, the art of
music serves as a bridge between different cultures. It
is also of great importance as a means of interethnic
communication, a factor in historical memory and
awareness of national identity. Music plays a
particularly important role in the upbringing of the
younger generation - it forms a person's aesthetic
taste, enriches his spirituality, and encourages him to
actively participate in social life.
The article comprehensively analyzes the role of music
in society, its educational, educational, therapeutic and
cultural functions, and its impact on the human psyche.
In addition, the issues of preserving national culture
and traditions through music and passing them on to
future generations are also considered. Thus, the
article scientifically and theoretically substantiates the
incomparable importance of music in human life.
METHODOLOGY
Scientific analysis of the role and importance of music
in social life requires a multifaceted approach. In this
article, a comprehensive methodological framework
was used to ensure the effectiveness of the study. Since
music is a powerful factor influencing the life of a
person and society, historical, sociological, cultural and
psychological approaches were combined in the
research process.
First of all, the development of music in different
periods was studied based on the historical-analytical
method. After all, at each historical stage, music has
fulfilled its own specific functions: in ancient times, it
harmonized the labor process, in the Middle Ages it
became an integral part of religious ceremonies, and in
modern times it has become a symbol of artistic
expression and creative freedom.
In addition, using sociological research methods,
existing scientific views on the role and significance of
music in society were analyzed. The impact of music on
the development of not only individuals, but also social
groups, nations, and humanity as a whole was
discussed. Music was considered a factor that unites
people and serves their cultural and spiritual growth.

Also, during the research process, the role of music in
the formation and preservation of national culture was
studied based on a cultural approach. The fact that the
musical heritage of each people is one of the important
factors reflecting its national identity, and the
transmission of traditional values through music to new
generations, was scientifically and theoretically
substantiated.
The impact of music on the human psyche was
analyzed through a psychological approach. During the
research, research was conducted on the basis of
scientific ideas about music therapy, the impact of
music on emotional and cognitive development, and its
positive impact on human mood and thinking
processes. In particular, the role of music education in
the development of children and youth was recognized
as one of the important aspects.
This article
combines
various
methodological
approaches to comprehensively analyze the place of
music in social life. Through historical, sociological,
cultural and psychological methods, it is proven that
music is not only an art form that gives aesthetic
pleasure in social life, but also a force that educates a
person, forms national identity and unites society.
Literature analysis (review)
Analysis of scientific literature is of great importance in
highlighting the role and significance of music in social
life. During the research, various sources were studied
on the art of music, its impact on the human psyche,
aspects related to education and culture. The literature
covers the sociological, psychological, pedagogical and
cultural aspects of music, and their analysis serves to
strengthen the theoretical basis of the study.
First of all, sociological and philosophical works on the
social significance of music were analyzed. Modern
researchers emphasize that music serves as a
communicative tool in social life, its influence on the
formation of changes in society. In particular, scientists
such as P. Bourdieu and A. Giddens expressed their
views on the influence of art and culture on social
structures, paying attention to the role of music in the
formation of personal and group identity.
Also of great importance are studies on the
psychological impact of music. The views of experts
such as Z. Freud, K. Jung and D. Levitin on the study of
how music affects the human psyche were analyzed.
These researchers studied the impact of music on
human
emotions,
stress
management,
social
adaptation and even the cognitive development of the
individual. In particular, sources related to the
therapeutic properties of music, its positive effect on
human mood and even its use in medicine were
studied.
In addition, cultural and ethnographic sources on the
stages of development of musical culture and the
musical heritage of different peoples were analyzed. In
particular, the works of scholars such as Abu Nasr
Farabi, Al-Farghani, Z. Isomidinov on the development
of Eastern musical culture were studied, and the
studies of musicologists such as A. Schoenberg and H.
Heinrich on the history of Western music were studied.
These studies analyzed the preservation of national and
traditional musical samples and their place in modern
society.
In the process of analyzing the literature, various
approaches were compared to shed light on the place
of musical art in social life. It was found that music is
not only a form of artistic and creative expression, but
also a powerful tool that affects the human mind, social
relations, and cultural development. The results of
these studies enriched the scientific basis of the article
and made it possible to understand the wide range of
influence of musical art. The analysis of the literature is
enriched with theoretical and practical foundations
confirming the importance of musical art in social life,
which indicates the relevance of this topic and its direct
influence on the development of society.
DISCUSSION
Music is one of the most ancient and influential forms
of human culture, and its place in social life has a very
wide and deep meaning. As a type of art that directly
affects the human psyche, it enriches the emotional
world of a person, forms social relations, and plays an
important role in preserving cultural heritage. In
today's society, the educational, communicative,
therapeutic and cultural functions of music are
expanding, and its influence is felt not only at the
personal level, but also at the level of an entire nation
or cultural group.
First of all, music is valued as a tool that has a strong
impact on personal education. The musical art of each
nation reflects its cultural and national identity, and
Uzbek folk music has been fulfilling this task. Through
folk songs, maqom art and modern pop music, national
values are promoted, and young people are given
spiritual education. Especially, musical education from
childhood is of great importance in forming a person's
aesthetic taste. From this perspective, the use of music
in the educational process shows that it has its own
importance not only as a type of art, but also as an
educational tool.
At the same time, music also plays an important role in
shaping the relationships between people in society.
Historically, music has always influenced the social
aspects of society. For example, in times of war and
peace, music has served to inspire people, give hope,

or alleviate pain. Also, in the process of globalization,
music is emerging as a force that connects different
cultures. Today, musical genres of different nations are
mixing with each other, causing the emergence of new
directions. This strengthens the position of music in
society as one of the important means of cultural
integration.
Music plays a major role in human life not only
culturally or socially, but also psychologically. Studies
show that music can be used to manage human mood,
reduce stress, and even as a means of therapy. For
example, music therapy is used in the medical field and
has been proven to help reduce depression, anxiety,
and even pain. From this perspective, music is not just
an entertainment tool for the human psyche, but also
an important factor in improving psychological health.
However, when it comes to the importance of music in
social life, it is also necessary to recognize that it faces
modern threats. On the one hand, due to the
development of digital technologies, music has gained
the opportunity to spread rapidly around the world, but
on the other hand, due to mass culture and
commercialization, traditional musical heritage is
under threat of disappearance. The decline in interest
in national music among the younger generation, the
excessive dominance of pop culture can overshadow
the original spiritual functions of music. Music is an
integral part of society, and its educational, social and
cultural significance is incomparable. It plays a major
role in spiritually and emotionally enriching a person,
forming social relationships and preserving cultural
heritage. In order to further strengthen the place of
music in social life, its role in the education system
should be increased, interest in national music among
young people should be stimulated, and research
should be continued to harmonize it with global
culture. In this way, music remains an important factor
in the development of society.
CONCLUSION
Music is the most ancient and integral part of human
culture, and its role in social life is very wide-ranging
and multifaceted. In addition to enriching the inner
world of a person, raising his spirituality and influencing
social processes in society, it also plays an important
role in the formation of the personality. Music directly
affects human emotions, develops cultural dialogue
and integration in society, and serves as an important
tool for preserving and transmitting national heritage
to future generations.
In today's globalization processes, music is of particular
importance as a means of understanding national
identity. The musical heritage of each nation is an
integral part of its historical memory, cultural values,
and spiritual heritage. Therefore, preserving national
musical traditions and passing them on to the younger
generation is one of the important tasks facing today's
society. At the same time, modern technologies create
great opportunities for the spread of music and pave
the way for the mixing of musical styles of different
nations. Although this is an impetus for the global
development of musical art, it also poses a threat to the
loss of traditional musical heritage.
Music plays an important role in human life not only
culturally, but also psychologically and pedagogically.
Its ability to reduce stress, stabilize the human psyche,
and even have a therapeutic effect has been
scientifically proven. In addition, music education plays
a major role in shaping the aesthetic worldview of
young people and developing their creative thinking
skills. The educational value of music is that, along with
cultivating a person's moral and aesthetic taste, it also
forms him as an active member of society.
In conclusion, the art of music plays an important role
in every aspect of human life, and its importance is
increasing day by day. The social, cultural, and
psychological impact of music should be deeply
researched and strategies developed for its effective
use for societal development. In the future, it is
advisable to further strengthen the place of music in
the educational process, promote national musical
heritage and harmonize it with global musical culture.
Music is a powerful art form that enriches the human
soul, develops culture and unites society, and it will
remain an important part of human life at any time.
