Tuberculosis of the prostate gland in men is a severe suffering. Today, the significance of the problem of urogenital tuberculosis in the world is obvious. Over the past two decades, an increase in the incidence of urogenital tuberculosis has been noted in the world. Men are susceptible to these diseases during the period of greatest sexual activity, i.e. aged 21 to 50 years. In the Republic of Uzbekistan, urogenital tuberculosis among extrapulmonary tuberculosis ranks second (24%). More than 50% of cases in men, tuberculosis of the genitourinary system affects the genital organs: prostate, testicles, epididymis. Tuberculosis of the prostate gland is caused by hematogenous, less often by lymphogenous spread of infection from the focus of the primary lesion. The true incidence of tuberculosis of the genitourinary organs exceeds the recorded one.
