Abstract:

“Music” is an integral part of human spirituality, which is of great importance in

understanding and evaluating cultural values. In general secondary schools, music is an

important factor in educating students' creative taste, aesthetic feelings and moral views.

Through music, it is possible to connect the younger generation to cultural heritage and instill a

spirit of respect for national values. The role of music in the cultural and aesthetic development

of children.

The subject “Music” not only awakens aesthetic feelings among young people, but also helps to

develop their creative abilities. When children get acquainted with musical culture, their taste

and thinking expand, and a love for the art of music is formed in them. Music in general

secondary education provides an opportunity for young people to spend their free time

meaningfully, awakens a positive spirit and involves them in creative projects.

One of the main values ​ ​ ​ ​ of the subject "Music" is the formation of aesthetic taste in

young people. Aesthetic taste develops the ability to understand and appreciate artistic

refinement in human life. During school, young students, by listening to and performing musical

works, not only develop respect for the beauty of art, but also increase their ability to express

their own feelings. This helps them develop as individuals with a deep understanding not only in

music, but also in other social and cultural areas.

Another important aspect of music is the preservation of the cultural heritage of the nation and its

transfer to the younger generation. The rich national musical traditions of Uzbekistan, such as

maqoms, epics and folk songs, give children a unique ideological significance. Studying national

musical works during the lesson forms respect for their culture in young people and instills a

sense of national pride in them.

Music is not only a means of moral education, but also plays an important role in spiritual

growth. Through the educational influence of music, students are formed with moral norms, the

ability to manage emotions, and social responsibility. In this case, young people awaken their

inner world through music and develop their personal values.

The subject of “Music” is a powerful tool that stimulates creative thinking and creativity. It

develops the ability of children to express their emotions through musical instruments. In the

Today, modern technologies are taking the process of teaching music to a new level. For

example, with the help of interactive music platforms and audio-visual technologies, students can

more easily master musical knowledge. These technologies also allow children to practically

apply music-related skills.

The role of music in the education system and modern approaches. The role of the subject

“Music” in general secondary schools in Uzbekistan is growing. In order to improve the quality

of education, a rational learning process is organized through the introduction of advanced

teaching methods and the use of modern technologies. For example, musical compositions are

analyzed in lessons, and their content and spiritual significance are explained to children.

Through these lessons, children develop a deep interest in music.

The subject “Music” serves the creative and spiritual development of children in general

secondary schools. This subject not only forms knowledge about music in children, but also

develops the ability to express their emotions. As children master musical knowledge, they are

given the opportunity not only to understand works of art, but also to instill a sense of love for

them.Modern lessons use interactive and practical teaching methods, such as:

• Performance: Children can improve their abilities by performing musical works.

• Analysis and discussion: Analyzing musical works develops children's thinking and aesthetic

evaluation skills.

• Teacher-student cooperation: Teachers help children correctly understand musical works and

direct them to express their feelings.

Great importance is attached to the direction of studying national and modern music samples in

schools. Together, these two directions allow students to develop a balanced musical taste:

• National music: The study of national songs, maqoms, and folk traditions in schools instills in

children a sense of respect and pride for national traditions.

• Modern music: Introducing children to modern music types and genres brings children closer to

international musical culture.

In Uzbekistan, music curricula are being improved, introducing an integrated approach that

covers national and international musical cultures. The use of modern teaching aids helps to

comprehensively develop children's musical knowledge.

Music also plays an important role in shaping students as socially active individuals. Children

are involved in collective work through music, which develops in them a sense of cooperation,

responsibility, and social communication skills. Music lessons also contribute to the spiritual

growth of children.

Today, the inclusion of modern technologies in music lessons in secondary schools is of great

importance. The use of multimedia devices, audio and video materials helps children to

understand the essence of music more deeply. In addition, online platforms and special programs

help to make the learning process more interesting and effective.

Methods that help develop children's musical taste. Various methodological approaches can be

used to cultivate musical taste. For example:

• Performing on stage: children have the opportunity to express their feelings through playing

musical instruments.

• Aesthetic evaluation: children learn about the artistic qualities of musical works by analyzing

them in lessons.

Studying national musical works enhances interest in cultural values ​ ​ in the younger

generation.

Musical taste is a feeling that forms the ability to choose and appreciate musical art in a person.

Its importance is manifested in enhancing the aesthetic pleasure of students, increasing the ability

to understand and enjoy art. Musical taste is an important factor in the personal development and

spiritual wealth of a person.

Several methodological directions of teaching in schools can be used to cultivate musical taste.

Let's consider the main ones in detail:

1. Performance and practice-based teaching.

Children demonstrate their abilities by performing musical works. In the process of practice,

their interest in music increases and aesthetic pleasure is formed. Collective performance of

musical works also develops teamwork skills in children.

2. Analysis of musical works

In music lessons, aesthetic views are formed in children by analyzing musical works and

evaluating their artistic properties. In this process, children gain in-depth knowledge and

understanding of the art of music.

3. Approach to national and modern music

Studying national musical works in schools instills a sense of respect for national values ​ ​ in

children. At the same time, introducing them to modern types of music expands their scope and

interests.

4. Awakening aesthetic feelings

Arousing children's feelings of elegance and pleasure through musical works. In this process,

children learn to understand elements such as harmony, rhythm and timbre in music and enjoy

them aesthetically.

5. Introducing technological innovations

Today, technology is important in music education. The use of multimedia tools, online

platforms and virtual simulations allows children to learn music in an interactive and interesting

way.

The role of the teacher in cultivating musical taste is of incomparable importance. Qualified

teachers play an important role in correctly explaining the art of music to children, inspiring

them and stimulating their interest in music.

The development of musical taste plays an important role in the aesthetic, spiritual and creative

development of the younger generation. By effectively applying methodological approaches to

music in secondary schools, it is possible to increase children's interest in art and bring them

closer to cultural values.

The importance of educating national culture through music. Music is an important means of

spiritual abilities. Instilling a sense of respect for national values ​ ​ in young people through

national musical works, and introducing them to international musical samples further improves

their taste and knowledge. In addition, by integrating modern technologies into the process of

music education, it is possible to create an interesting and interactive learning environment for

students.

The subject of "Music" is an important platform for developing collective performance,

communication and cooperation skills, as well as for enhancing personal creativity. Therefore,

by further increasing attention to music, adapting curricula to modern requirements, improving

the qualifications of teachers and introducing new educational materials, it is possible to make a

significant contribution to the spiritual upliftment of the younger generation. This will not only

instill a love of music in young people, but also further develop their general aesthetic pleasure

and cultural taste.
