Importance of functional indices in determining the severity of osteo-arthritis in patients with obesity

The Study have included 80 patients (28.8% -men, 71.2%-women, mean age 58.8± 0.8 years ) with os-teoarthritis (OA) of the knee. In 27.5% of patients body mass index (BMI) was consistent with the normal index, from 28.8% -overweight, at 25.0%- obesity I, at 12.2%- II degree. Increased body weight of patients increased the severity of OA.
