R Khazratkulov, Sh Kariev
342 patients operated on for severe traumatic brain injury in Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Neurosurgery from 2008 to 2017 were examined and treated.Decompressive cra-nioectomy was performed by 222 patients out of 342 (64,9%), Craniotomy - 120 (35,1%). Decompressive cra-niectomy was the main method of surgical treatment of patients with acute traumatic intracranial hematomas, accompanied by edema and prolapse of the brain. Reducing the time elapsed from the moment of trauma to surgery, correction of hemodynamic disorders, increased surgical efficiency, reduced the risk of complications in the postoperative period, and improved treatment outcomes
