This article analyzes the international tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program from 2006 to 2025 through the lens of game theory. By applying the concepts of Nash equilibrium and the Prisoner’s Dilemma, the study examines strategic mistrust among states, phases of sanctions, diplomatic negotiations, and the formation and breakdown of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The article provides a detailed assessment of JCPOA’s technical obligations, monitoring mechanisms, and nuclear infrastructure reforms. It also explores the consequences of the U.S. withdrawal from the agreement in 2018 and the renewed escalation in 2025. The findings highlight the significance of mutual trust and the decisive role of diplomatic strategies in achieving stability within contemporary international relations.References
