This article provides a detailed analysis of the anatomical and functional characteristics of the cranial nerves, their age-related changes, and clinical significance. Cranial nerves regulate sensory, motor, and autonomic functions and contribute to maintaining the internal environment of the body. Studies indicate that the anatomy and functional properties of each nerve play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. Age-related changes, degenerative diseases, and traumatic injuries reduce nerve function, leading to impairments in vision, hearing, balance, and facial muscle movements. Modern diagnostic methods, including MRI, CT, and electromyography, allow for accurate assessment of nerve function and detection of pathological conditions. Additionally, this article addresses the prospects for cranial nerve restoration, regeneration, and rehabilitation strategies. The findings demonstrate that understanding cranial nerve function is essential for early detection and prevention of neurological disorders and for improving patient quality of life.References
