This article reviews the current system of quality control for design and construction in the Republic of Uzbekistan, examines institutional and regulatory frameworks, identifies key challenges, and proposes practical recommendations to strengthen quality management across the sector. Uzbekistan’s construction sector has been undergoing rapid transformation driven by national strategies to modernize building codes, adopt international standards, and strengthen institutional oversight. Despite progress, persistent gaps remain in standardization, laboratory testing capacity, contractor qualification, and the consistent application of quality management systems on projects.References
