Abstract

This article discusses the formation, cultural layers, architectural remains, finds of the archaeological site of Old Khavas, located in the Syrdarya region, and their role in the historical and cultural processes of Central Asia. Life at the site began in the 4th–3rd centuries BC and continued uninterruptedly until the middle of the 20th century. The Anahita statuette, a lamp dating back to the 12th century, and the Hellenistic walls discovered as a result of excavations in 2014 reveal the rich cultural layer of the area. The results of the research confirm the importance of Old Khavas as a model monument for the Ustrushona region.
