Abstract

This thesis analyzes the political reforms carried out in the fields of education and culture in Saudi Arabia during the 1970s–1990s. The study highlights the processes of educational modernization, the establishment of new educational institutions, and the expansion of cultural infrastructure in connection with the rapid growth of the oil-based economy. It also examines the influence of state policy grounded in Arab and Islamic values on the content of education and its role in strengthening cultural identity. As a result, the reforms implemented between 1970 and 1990 are shown to have played a crucial role in the socio-cultural development of Saudi Arabia.
