This article analyzes the pedagogical and methodological significance of using portfolios to assess students’ individual achievements and personal development in modern education. Portfolio assessment enables a comprehensive evaluation of students’ knowledge, practical skills, and creative competencies, while also enhancing their motivation and self-assessment abilities. The study examines the types of portfolios, assessment criteria, indicators, and practical implementation methods. Additionally, the advantages and limitations of portfolio assessment are evaluated from a scientific perspective. The findings indicate that portfolio systems serve as an effective tool for improving educational quality, ensuring individualized approaches, and enhancing transparency in the pedagogical process.References
