Plaster carving (ganch), maiolica, and mosaic occupy a special place in world culture within Central Asian architecture. This article analyzes the development of these decorative techniques in Uzbekistan, their aesthetic and technological features, as well as the processes of deterioration. Modern principles of restoration and conservation, as well as their compliance with international standards (Venice Charter, Nara Declaration, ICOMOS recommendations), are examined. Examples include the Registan ensemble, Mir Arab Madrasah, and the monuments of Ichan-Qala. The composition of materials and technological approaches have been identified, and scientifically based recommendations for their preservation have been developed. The article contributes to the effective conservation and restoration of historical decorative elements.References
