This article examines the role of the literary approach in foreign language acquisition and the development of learners’ communicative competence. Literature is regarded as an essential, effective, and motivational tool in foreign language teaching. The study highlights how integrating literary sources into the teaching process enhances learning efficiency, increases learner motivation, and develops language skills. Particular attention is given to the importance of selecting appropriate literary texts according to learners’ proficiency levels in order to ensure meaningful engagement and communicative development.
