Relevance:
In case of drug poisoning, one of the first remedies is the introduction of
enterosorbents into the human div. Studies show that enterosorbents may have different ability to
bind toxins. Therefore, it was necessary to study the influence of factors such as the pH of the
medium, temperature and time on the adsorption activity.
The purpose of the study:
to study the influence of certain factors on the change in adsorption
activity over time
Materials and methods.
The following objects were used for the study: paracetamol substance,
Activated Carbon tablets (RENEWAL, Russia), Activated Carbon substance, prototype SKT-6 AB.
The following equipment was used during the work: SF-2000 spectrophotometer; C-MAG HS 7-IKA
magnetic stirrer; Sartorius Secura 224-10RU analytical scales. A method for determining the
adsorption activity of activated carbon using the example of paracetamol. For the mode, a magnetic
stirrer: about 0.30-0.35 g (exact weight) of powdered tablets or a test sample was placed in a 100.0
ml flask and an aliquot of 25.0 ml of a freshly prepared 1% aqueous (or acidic) paracetamol solution
was added. Stirred for 15 (30, 60, 90 and 120) minutes at t =20+2℃ and at t=37+2℃. Then the coal
was filtered out and an aliquot of 1.0 ml was taken from the filtrate into a measuring flask, after which
the volume of the measuring flask was adjusted to 100.0 ml with water (or 0.1 n hydrochloric acid)
(solution A). An aliquot of 1.0 ml of solution A was taken and the volume of solution B was adjusted
to 100.0 ml with water (or 0.1 n hydrochloric acid) in a measuring flask. An aliquot of 1.0 ml was
taken from solution B and the volume of the solution in water (or 0.1 n hydrochloric acid) was
adjusted to 50.0 ml in a measuring flask. After that, the optical density of solution B was measured.
The results and their discussion.
At the beginning, the effect of the pH of the medium on the
adsorption activity of tablets of activated carbon of the RENEWAL brand and a prototype of activated
carbon SKT-6AV was compared. According to the obtained data on adsorption activity, it was found
that aqueous solutions of paracetamol are 5 times better sorbed than acidic ones. When the
temperature rises to t=37+2 ° C, it was found that the adsorption activity of sorbents increases in an
acidic environment compared to an aqueous one, for example, in tablets of activated carbon of the
RENEWAL brand it increases by 1.5 times, and in a prototype of activated carbon SKT-6AV by 4.5
times.
Conclusions.
As a result of the conducted research and processing of the results, it can be said
that the study of the adsorption activity of sorbets should be carried out in solution.
hydrochloric acid 0.1 n at t = 37 + 2 ° C, since these conditions are as close as possible to the
conditions of sorption of substances in the stomach. The adsorption activity of the SKT-6AV
activated carbon prototype turned out to be higher than that of RENEWAL brand activated carbon
tablets.
