Actuality of the problem:
Nowadays demands for the weight with variety of stereotypes and
dietary proposals are different for every person. People sometimes are fixated on weight. This fixation
has resulted in an explosion of disordered eating patterns. There is increasing pressure on people,
especially women to be as thin as the models portrayed in the media. Negative stereotypes are
associated with being overweight.
The aim of the work.
Learning the ways to express some suggestions on how and what to eat for
good health.
Methods and materials of research.
Dietary changes may be making us more susceptible to
various diseases. Current research indicates links between diet and chronic diseases such as heart
disease, diabetes, and some cancers. These researches can be found as compelling enough to change
what we eat. Some of conclusions concider that changing what we eat improves our health. Few
doctors have any special expertise about the effects of diet and illness, and although some progress
has been made, the nutrition education offered in medical schools is generally insufficient. However,
eating disorders are preventable and curable. Children as young as five years old are expressing
feelings of being uncomfortable with their weight, and severe eating disorders affect children as young
as nine years old. Ten percent of teenagers have clinical eating disorders. Most of us at one time or
another have used food to numb or deny our feelings, to comfort ourselves, or to put some order into
our lives. Thus, when we let food become the major outlet for expressing our feelings, we risk
damaging our physical and emotional health. Too much weight may become a health risk if it affects
blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, or cholesterol However, repeated weight loss can prove to be very
dangerous, even fatal.
The food industry adds many substances to processed foods to reduce manufacturing costs,
replace costlier ingredients, improve appearance and texture, ease manufacture and transportation,
and increase shelf life. Whenever a food is prepared, whether at the manufacturing level or in your
home, some nutrient loss is inevitable. Even minimal processing of foods usually involves some
nutrient losses. Frozen vegetables have to be blanched first and thereby lose
В
and
С
vitamins.
Vitamin E is reduced by freezing. Sulfur dioxide on dried fruits destroys vitamin A, and sulfites
destroy
В
vitamins. Minerals, unless physically removed from food as in flour refining, usually are
not lost. Canning has generally been considered the least nutritious way to keep vegetables because
they are heated long enough to destroy many nutrients. No one really knows whether people without
an obvious vitamin or mineral deficiency disease should take supplements. Individuals vary in their
ability to absorb and use nutrients. At particular times you are likely to need specific extra vitamins
and minerals— from birth through adolescence, if you take birth control pills, if you are pregnant and
nursing, if you are sick, and after menopause, when you slowly become less efficient at absorbing
nutrients.
The received results and their discussion.
Eating disorders are preventable and curable. It is
important to learn and recognize the necessary steps to get help to the organism in the nore needed
way. Regardless where the experts find themselves on this issue, all agree that to improve one’s health
and reduce risk of disease, one must maintain a regular eating program and follow the general healty
eating guidelines.
