Abstract:

This scientific article analyzes the importance of improving the professional skills of future music

teachers using computer programs. The article examines methodological approaches to introducing modern
information technologies into the process of music teaching, increasing their effectiveness in pedagogical
activities, and developing professional competencies. Through computer programs, teachers' creative thinking,
technical skills, and didactic approaches are strengthened, as a result of which their pedagogical skills are further
improved.

Keywords:

Computer programs, professional skills of music teachers, pedagogical technologies, professional

competence, interactive teaching, innovative teaching methods.

Introduction:

Music education is recognized as one of

the important areas of the education system in modern
society. The qualification and professionalism of
teachers in this field requires not only knowledge of the
art of music and the theory of pedagogy, but also the
mastery of modern technologies and methods. The
development of computer programs and information
technologies creates opportunities for the use of
innovative approaches in the educational process. In
particular, in improving the professional skills of future
music teachers, computer programs play an important
role in the effective organization of the educational
process and the development of students' creative
potential.

Modern music education includes not only musical
performance, but also pedagogical, methodological
and psychological knowledge. Future music teachers,
especially in the application of computer technologies
in pedagogical practice, need to improve their
professional competencies. In this regard, the impact of
computer programs on the educational process, their
role in the formation of teachers' didactic, technical
and methodological skills is very large. This article
analyzes how computer programs can be used to
improve the professional skills of music teachers, and
considers the problems that arise in this process and

ways to solve them.

Modern digital technologies allow many existing real
objects to be converted into an electronic digital form.
There can also be reverse operations. For example, a
text written on a computer can be printed or the
original can be transferred to paper. With the advent of
computer technology, great opportunities have
opened up in music. Now, using a computer, you can
hear the sound of an entire orchestra, install sound
files, as in a professional studio, and add any effects to
them. Any amateur musician can easily enter and print
their own musical compositions. And for this, you need
to choose the right and appropriate program. As
mentioned above, there is a huge selection of software
for working with musical text collections, including such

note editors as “Encore”, “Finale”,

“Cubase Score”,

“Personal Composer”, “Musicator”, “Guitar

-

pro”,

“Akkord” and others. In this regard, it is possible to

consider and compare the main software packages
offered by developers.

Most users who are familiar with the music typesetting
program are familiar with the Finale music editor.
Others may be new to the Sibelius music editor. This
program is gaining popularity very actively. In addition,
there is the Encore music editor, Score for Dos, for the
much older DOS operating system, and even the TeX

music editor based on the Linux operating system. In
this case, it should not be considered an object of
attention. Because the TeX music editor is mainly a
program for technical specialists. In the process of
performing work, the user works on a black screen,
with formulas, uses a special program for previewing,
there are no scalable fonts, and there are great
difficulties in creating new fonts and special characters.

Music editors are usually similar to a regular text editor
from the MS Office suite. One of the most popular
music editors is the Sibelius program. The Sibelius
program allows you not only to write and print music,
but also to listen to them. This music notation editor is
used by many musicians, composers, music publishers
and music lovers. Because it allows you to realize
almost any wish of users involved in musical notation.

History of Sibelius Twin brothers Ben and Jonathan Finn
began working on Sibelius in 1987 while they were
students and developed the program for six years. It
was first released for Acorn Risc computers in 1993,
and for Windows and Mac OS in 1998 and 1999,
respectively. After graduating from Oxford and
Cambridge universities in 1993, the Finn brothers
founded their own company to sell Sibelius, which soon
became a success. Over the next decade, offices were
opened in developed countries such as the USA, Great
Britain and Australia, and they had customers in more
than 100 countries around the world.

In 2006, Sibelius was acquired by Avid, the developer of
the popular Pro Tools and Media Composer programs,
and continues to grow with new styles to this day. In
fact, Sibelius is the most popular music score editor in
the world.

Who is this program for? Sibelius can be used by any
musician - from students, teachers to composers,
arrangers, performers and leading publishers of the
world. The reason why Sibelius covers such a wide
audience is due to the simplicity of the interface of the
program. This Sibelius score editor program can be
used both in primary schools and in the work of highly
qualified specialists.

In Sibelius, you can write and notate music of any
genre, from classical music to jazz, from rock melodies
to avant-garde, from choir voices to symphony
orchestras. Among the most famous users of Sibelius
are conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, composer Steve
Reich, choral composer John Rutter, rock guitarist Andy
Summers, jazz musician Jamie Cullum, and the Royal
Conservatory of Music in London.

World-renowned publishers Hal Leonard, Music Sales,
and Boosey & Hawkes use Sibelius to distribute music
in their publications and on the Internet directly to the
client's printer.

Sibelius is a Key Buy award winner from Keyboard
magazine, a five-time Editors' Choice award winner
from Electronic Musician magazine, a two-time 5-star
winner from Macworld, and a three-time 10/10 winner
from Computer Music magazine.

Scores written in Sibelius are used to create
soundtracks for film, television, theater, and other
purposes.

Among professional musicians, computer notation
programs are used very often, they have already
become an indispensable part of everyday life. The
Sibelius editor from Avid offers several versions of the
software developed for a special set of notes.
Musicians of different ages and specialties learn them.
Great and unprecedented prospects open up for a
musician who has mastered the skills of entering a
number of notes on a computer.

Thus, performers update their libraries (it is not always
convenient to read poorly written notes). Musicologists
receive musical examples for their scientific work. One
of the composers said, -

“... I can’t imagine what it was

like before without Sibelius. I first compose my works
in my head or perform them on the piano, and
everything happens in my favorite notation program on

my computer” .

The Sibelius editor is very convenient for learning and
working. New features added by developers in the
latest versions of the program provide further
expansion of its capabilities. This allows you to create
professional publications of any complexity, record
good demo recordings on CD, as well as combine audio
and video for recording music for films.

Therefore, the most convenient and fast way to print
any score and parts on paper in high quality, notate any
musical melody is to digitize musical notes, and it is
advisable to implement this process using computer
technologies.

CONCLUSION

The importance of using computer programs in
improving the professional skills of future music
teachers is increasing. The introduction of computer
technologies into the educational process creates the
opportunity for teachers to use innovative pedagogical
methods and raises their professional competencies to
a higher level. Using interactive teaching methods,
music programs and other information technologies,
teachers achieve creative thinking, analysis, and the
development of creative and technical skills. This will
help not only to effectively teach students, but also to
form in them a respect for the art and culture of music.

In addition, through computer programs, teachers will
have the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge,

test didactic approaches and develop their own
pedagogical style. However, in this process, there are
some problems, such as the lack of technical
equipment, the low level of computer literacy of
teachers and difficulties in mastering new methods.
Therefore, to solve these problems, it is necessary to
organize continuous training courses and internships
for teachers.

In general, computer programs and information
technologies are an effective means of improving the
professional skills of future music teachers, improving
the quality of education and providing students with
modern knowledge, which is of great importance for
the future of music education.
