TEACHING

Abstract:
This article analyzes the innovative role of artificial intelligence technologies in
language learning. The effectiveness of interactive platforms, personalized learning programs,
and voice assistants is discussed. The article also addresses the advantages and potential
challenges of using artificial intelligence in the language learning process. AI technologies
enable individualized learning, assist in pronunciation checks, and provide grammar suggestions,
making the learning process more efficient. Additionally, the article outlines the development
prospects of AI technologies and their role in language education.

Nowadays, artificial intelligence is causing significant changes in various fields. Especially
in the education system, and in particular in foreign language teaching, its innovative role is of
great importance. As traditional teaching is enriched with modern technologies, platforms and
programs based on artificial intelligence are making the language learning process more effective
and convenient. This article analyzes the main aspects, advantages, and challenges of using
artificial intelligence in foreign language teaching.
Applications developed based on artificial intelligence technologies provide users with the
opportunity to learn languages through an individual approach. In addition, they analyze the
user's mistakes and adjust the training program accordingly; the gamification elements in them
make the language learning process more interesting and easier. Voice applications powered by
artificial intelligence such as Apple Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa enable users to
communicate in a foreign language according to a set schedule. These technologies help learners
check their pronunciation and develop their speaking skills.
Educational platforms based on artificial intelligence determine the knowledge level of each user
and recommend suitable programs accordingly. For example, platforms like Coursera and EdX
allow artificial intelligence to select courses appropriate for the user and optimize the learning
process. With the help of artificial intelligence, it is possible to learn a language anytime and
anywhere. Unlike traditional classroom-based teaching, this creates a convenient learning
environment for users.
Applications developed with the help of artificial intelligence are conducted in a game-like
format, which helps increase students' interest in language learning. For example, in the process
of learning languages, there are systems for earning points, gradually increasing levels, and
receiving rewards. AI-powered programs can check users’ pronunciation and provide feedback.
For instance, with apps like Elsa Speak, learners can improve their pronunciation.
Artificial intelligence can teach users grammar and vocabulary, but due to the lack of real
conversation experience, there are limitations in developing real communication skills. AI-based
systems focus on the technical aspects of language, but they have some shortcomings when it
comes to cultural differences. Using advanced AI-based educational platforms requires modern
devices and internet access, but not all users have such opportunities. In addition, there are also
concerns about privacy and data security related to artificial intelligence. AI systems may collect

users' data, which raises concerns from the perspective of personal information security.
Artificial intelligence is creating great opportunities in foreign language teaching, making the
teaching process more interactive, effective, and convenient. Its flexibility, individualized
approach, and ability to provide feedback are taking the language learning process to a new level.
However, artificial intelligence technologies also present challenges such as lack of human
communication, failure to consider cultural factors, and the risk of technological dependency.
At the same time, the rise of AI systems and the need for their further development are essential
to increase their effectiveness in the language learning process. Moreover, by applying these
technologies on a broader scale, new methods of teaching foreign languages can be created,
providing learners with even greater benefits. Ensuring data security, protecting personal
information, and considering cultural differences are also among the key areas that need to be
developed in the future.
Conclusion: Artificial intelligence technologies create new opportunities in foreign language
teaching and help make the language learning process more effective and convenient. However,
in order for them to be successfully implemented, technical, cultural, and ethical issues must be
addressed.
