The current global development of information technologies, including the further development

of the digital economy, is being implemented as an effective method for solving socio-economic

problems faced by all countries at various levels. Given that more than half of the world's

population lives in cities, the issue of introducing and developing a digital economy system is

becoming more and more relevant. The digital economy and the need for its further development,

as well as the level of scientific and technical development of productive forces based on

information technologies, require improving the cultural and socio-spiritual life of society.
The goal of effectively organizing a digital economy in our country is to increase the efficiency

of services and stimulate them to meet the needs of the population, as well as to improve the

quality of life of the city using new modern technologies.
Currently, the concept of a digital economy has appeared in the economic theory and practice of

a number of countries. It is characterized by the rapid development of digital technologies, the

revolution in the information sphere and the acceleration of the processes of globalization of the

economy. The efficiency of their use is being transformed into increasing knowledge, and socio-

economic relations are expanding. The main factor of digital transformation in the activities of

market entities is the development of digital culture. At the current stage of social and economic

reform of society, the environment is causing specific features of the institutional structure of

society, which necessitates the formation of new concepts and approaches on this basis.

stage of the country's economic development.
Sustainable development of the economy plays an important role in the socio-economic

development of the country. Each sector and industry has its own development directions, which

are regulated by the legal framework established by the state. After the Republic of Uzbekistan

gained independence, a number of legal acts were adopted aimed at reforming various areas of

the economy, coordinating inter-sectoral activities, and creating a competitive environment. This

article analyzes these legal frameworks and assesses their impact on economic development.
Based on the results, it can be said that the system of legal regulation of economic sectors is

showing its positive effect. At the same time, the issue of full implementation of laws and

regulatory documents in practice remains relevant. In particular, it is necessary to create a more

clear and consistent legislative framework for the activities of regional economic zones,

facilitating entrepreneurship and attracting foreign investment.
Also, in the context of the digital economy, there is an insufficient number of legal documents

regulating new areas such as intellectual property, e-commerce, crypto-assets. This, in turn, leads

to the emergence of legal gaps in the economy.

Conclusions and proposals. A thorough and systematic legal framework is necessary to ensure

the sustainable development of economic sectors and sectors. Based on the experience of

Uzbekistan, it can be said that the existing legislative system is giving positive results, but there

is a need to improve it in accordance with international standards. In the future, legal regulation

of modern economic activities, support for digital and innovative directions will remain an

urgent issue.

In the development of sectors and industries of the economy, it is important to take into account

their specific characteristics, introduce modern technologies, and rationally use regional

resources. This will serve to strengthen the country's economic stability, create new jobs, and

increase the well-being of the population.
