This scientific article examines the tourism and recreational value of forests. The
development of tourism and recreational activities in forests is important not only from an
ecological and economic perspective, but also from a social and cultural perspective. Resting,
traveling, and connecting with nature in forests are beneficial for a person's psychological and
physical health. This article analyzes the role of forests as tourism resources, their impact, and

Introduction Lakes are natural resources that have been important as a source of life in human
history. Their tourism and recreational value has been in the spotlight in recent years. Types of
tourism and recreational activities organized on lakes contribute not only to environmental
conservation, but also to economic and cultural development. This article analyzes the tourism
and recreational value of lakes, the problems associated with them, and future development
prospects. Lakes, of course, are becoming important places for the development of tourism, not
only as a source of water. Water resources create the necessary conditions for the
implementation of many types of tourism. The landscapes, natural beauties, and water sports
around lakes are of great interest to tourists. In addition, lakes offer a wide range of recreational

opportunities, nature study, and the development of ecological tourism. For example, boat trips,
fishing, water sports (canoeing, sailing, kiting, etc.), as well as excursions to ecological
destinations around lakes, can be organized. Such activities, in turn, create new experiences for
tourists and increase their environmental awareness. Recreational activities, namely recreation
and health, play an important role in the development of tourism in the forests. Recreation in the
forests has its own characteristics, as it introduces people not only to natural beauties, but also to
various water activities. The development of ecological and health tourism in the forests helps to
improve the health of the population. In addition, the forests provide many opportunities for
reducing stress, improving mental and physical well-being, and harmonizing with nature. People
who travel to the forests expand their knowledge of ecological tourism and gain a greater
understanding of nature conservation. When assessing the importance of forests for tourism and
recreational activities, it is necessary to take into account their ecological and economic
significance. From an ecological point of view, tourism and recreational activities carried out in
the forests help to preserve the environment. If these activities are properly organized, they will
serve to preserve natural resources and pass them on to future generations. Economically, the
development of tourism in the forests contributes to the economic growth of the region.
Providing various services for tourists (hotels, restaurants, excursions, etc.) creates new jobs and
expands economic opportunities for the local population. There are a number of problems in the
development of tourism and recreational activities in the forests. The most important of them are
environmental problems. Waste accumulation in the forests, water pollution, and disruption of
the natural balance prevent the continuation of tourism. Intensive tourism can also damage the
natural resources of the region. In addition, the inadequacy of tourism infrastructure, in particular,
the lack of transport and hotel services, also causes problems. It is also necessary to take into
account the specific social, cultural and economic characteristics of the area where tourism
activities in the forests are located. One of the main directions in the development of tourism and
recreational activities in the forests will be the development of ecotourism. This will help to
preserve natural resources and implement tourism activities in an environmentally friendly
manner. At the same time, it will provide opportunities for developing tourism in partnership
with the local population, creating new jobs for them and increasing economic potential.
It is also necessary to improve tourism infrastructure, introduce environmentally friendly means
of transport, implement innovations in waste recycling and environmental protection.
Conclusion Forests, while preserving their natural beauty, provide significant opportunities for
tourism and recreational activities. Their tourism and recreational value plays a major role not
only in economic and environmental terms, but also in the cultural development of society.
Effective development of tourism in forests requires an integrated approach aimed at preserving
the environment and creating profitable jobs for the local population.
