Annotation:
This article explores the improvement of methodological approaches aimed at
developing aesthetic skills in future drawing teachers. In the context of modern education, it is
essential that drawing teachers not only master technical knowledge and pedagogical methods
but also possess a refined aesthetic perception and the ability to instill artistic taste in students.
The study examines current trends in art pedagogy, the role of creative activity, visual literacy,
and emotional engagement in developing a future teacher’s aesthetic competence. The paper
proposes integrative and practice-oriented strategies such as art analysis, project-based learning,
museum pedagogy, and digital tools to enhance students’ aesthetic sensitivity and artistic
thinking. Emphasis is placed on the importance of connecting theory with practice through
reflective tasks, collaborative projects, and individualized approaches in art education. The
results suggest that a well-structured methodological framework significantly contributes to
shaping a future teacher’s ability to perceive, interpret, and convey beauty in both educational
and artistic contexts.
Keywords:

development, visual literacy, artistic thinking, aesthetic perception, project-based learning,
reflective practice, museum pedagogy.
Aesthetic skills are the ability to perceive and appreciate beauty, art or nature. They are based on
a person’s aesthetic experience, imagination and perception. Aesthetic skills include aspects such
as understanding works of art, feeling beauty, and appreciating its various forms (for example,
music, fine arts, architecture). It also helps to develop aesthetic skills, to understand art or nature
more deeply and fully.
The aesthetic skills of a drawing teacher are important qualities aimed at helping students
correctly understand, appreciate and express the beauty of art and the drawing process. These
skills help the teacher not only to teach drawings technically correctly, but also to guide students
in aesthetic thinking and creativity[1].
The aesthetic skills of a drawing teacher include the following:
1. Understanding and appreciating beauty: The teacher should understand the aesthetic
requirements in depicting drawings and spatial objects and introduce students to beauty,
symmetry, vividness, colors, shape and composition[2].
2. Creative thinking and inspiration: The teacher should encourage students to develop their
creative abilities, discover new ideas and styles. (For example, in the process of depicting
axonometric projections of common situations)
3. Analyzing art from an aesthetic point of view: The drawing teacher should teach students to
analyze drawings not only technically, but also aesthetically. This, in turn, helps to better
appreciate art and drawings.
4. Understanding art styles: Aesthetic skills also include knowledge of different styles in art
history and drawings from world cultures. By introducing these to students, the teacher
introduces them to a wider aesthetic world[3].

5. Working with colors and composition: The ability to create harmony of colors, composition
and aesthetic balance of forms is also one of the important aesthetic skills of the drawing teacher.
(For example, rendering projections in color and expressing results in color)
6. Developing imagination and creative freedom in drawing: The teacher should teach students to
imagine, use fantasy, and work with drawings in new creative ways, going beyond traditional
forms.
These skills are also necessary for the teacher himself, because he helps his students to make the
drawings he teaches aesthetically perfect and understandable[4].
Aesthetic skills in drawing are the ability to correctly understand and apply beauty, composition,
color, shape, and other aesthetic values in creating and working with drawings. These
skills include not only the technical aspects of drawing, but also its aesthetic and creative aspects.
Aesthetic skills in drawing include the following aspects:
1. Composition: The location, order, and relationship of elements in a drawing. Good
composition directs the viewer’s attention to the right and clear areas. It includes symmetry,
balance, rhythm, contrast, and harmony between point, line, and shape.
2. Color and Tone: The aesthetic use of color plays an important role in drawing. Color can be
used to express emotion, distinguish objects, or create atmosphere in drawings. The correct use
of tones and shades is also essential when working with color.
3. Shape and Structural Structure: The aesthetic aspects of shape and structure in a drawing, the
clarity of the image, and the good construction of forms are important. Shape and line can be
used to express seeing, feeling, and thinking in drawing[1].
4. Attention to Texture and Detail: The depiction of materials and surfaces in drawings is also
aesthetically important. Attention to texture and detail adds life, depth, and authenticity to a
drawing. This is especially important for realistic drawings.
5. Proportions and Dimensions: The dimensions and proportions in a drawing play an important
role in creating aesthetic balance. The correct proportions make a drawing realistic and
aesthetically appealing.
6. Creative Approach: Aesthetic skills are closely related to creative thinking. The student or
draftsman must create drawings in a new and attractive way by applying new methods, using
different styles and techniques.
7. Aesthetic Thinking: Aesthetic thinking in drawing is a deep aesthetic approach to each
drawing, thinking about its beauty and artistry. Artists need to analyze their drawings from an
aesthetic perspective and identify their unique characteristics.
8. Emotional expression: Aesthetic skills in drawing are not only focused on the appearance, but
also on the expression of emotions. Artists can create a certain feeling or mood through the use
of color, line, and composition.
By developing aesthetic skills in drawing, drawings are not only technically perfect, but also
provide aesthetic pleasure and inspiration to those who see them. Aesthetic skills are important
not only in creating works of art, but also in ensuring balance and beauty in any drawing[8].
Improving the methodology for developing aesthetic skills of a future drawing teacher will allow
students not only to learn how to create drawings correctly and qualitatively, but also to direct
them towards art and aesthetic thinking. This process requires the future teacher to develop their
own pedagogical approaches and use modern methods and technologies[6].
The development of aesthetic skills of future drawing teachers can be made more effective by
improving the following methodologies:
1. Combining theoretical and practical knowledge
• Lessons from art history and aesthetics: To develop aesthetic skills, a drawing teacher should
teach information about art history and aesthetic theories. This will help future teachers to have a
complete picture of different styles of art, composition, and the role of colors.
• Practical exercises: Students should be given the opportunity to experiment with colors, lines,
composition, and shapes. Through practical exercises, students develop aesthetic skills, which
will help them feel and understand the beauty in their drawings.

2. Creative thinking and the use of variable techniques
• Encouraging a creative approach: Future teachers should be encouraged to think creatively.
They should teach students to create drawings using new methods, using different techniques and
materials. For example, working with watercolors, gouache, pencils, crayons and other different
materials enriches students aesthetically.
• Use of innovative technologies: By teaching modern digital technologies, such as graphics
programs, drawing teachers can teach students new aesthetic skills.
3. Developing aesthetic thinking and feelings
• Expressing feelings and emotions: A future drawing teacher should teach students how to
express feelings and moods through drawings. Activities should be conducted aimed at creating a
certain feeling, atmosphere using colors and composition.
• Analysis and mastery: By teaching students to analyze drawings and works of art, their
aesthetic thinking can be developed. By discussing works of art and evaluating their aesthetic
value, students increase their ability to perceive beauty.
4. Working on Composition and Shapes
• Learning Composition in Drawing: Teachers should teach students the basics of composition
and symmetry in drawing. Deep learning of these through practical exercises will develop
students' aesthetic skills.
• Analyzing Shapes: By studying shapes and structural elements in drawing, students learn to
approach them from an aesthetic perspective. Learning the balance of shape, lines, and volume is
important for achieving success in drawing.
5. Individual approach to the creative process
• Providing an individual approach: Each student may have their own unique style and
imagination. The future teacher should conduct activities tailored to the interests and styles of
each student in order to develop their individual creative potential.
• Creative Development and Portfolios: Encourage students to create their own developments
and collect them in portfolios. Through this process, they will gain a deeper understanding of
their own aesthetic approaches.
6. Integration with Art and Nature
• Drawing inspiration from nature: The teacher should introduce students to nature and teach
them to reflect its aesthetic aspects, colors, shapes and surfaces in the drawing. This will give
students a deeper aesthetic experience.
• Visits to art galleries and museums: The future teacher can take students to art galleries,
museums or exhibitions and introduce them to various works of art. This will help develop their
aesthetic skills.
7. Encourage students to self-evaluate
• Self-analysis and evaluation: Teachers should teach students to evaluate their drawings, analyze
them from an aesthetic point of view. This method will encourage students to further improve
their work[8].
Conclusion
The process of improving the methodology for developing the aesthetic skills of a future drawing
teacher is one of the main tools for teaching students aesthetic thinking, creative approach and
love for art. Modern pedagogical approaches, practical exercises, innovative technologies and
methods aimed at a deeper understanding of art serve to prepare future teachers not only as
highly qualified, but also as aesthetically developed specialists.
