THE IMPACT OF NEW GENERATION PROSTHETIC TECHNOLOGIES ON CHEWING ABILITY AND PATIENTS' QUALITY OF LIFE

Khushnudbek Shokirov

Background: Advancements in prosthodontics have revolutionized treatment options for patients suffering from partial or complete edentulism. While traditional removable dentures have been widely used, modern methods—including implant-supported prostheses and digitally designed removable solutions—have the potential to enhance masticatory function and overall quality of life (QOL). Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of modern prosthodontic methods on patients’ masticatory performance and quality of life, comparing outcomes with those seen using conventional prosthodontic techniques. Methods: In this prospective study, 60 patients were divided into two groups: one receiving modern prosthodontic treatment (Group A) and the other treated with conventional methods (Group B). Masticatory function was assessed via bite force measurement, mixing ability tests, and the number of chewing cycles required to achieve a predetermined degree of food comminution. Quality of life was measured using the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14) questionnaire, applied before treatment and at a 6-month follow-up. Statistical analyses were performed using paired and unpaired t-tests, with a significance level set at p < 0.05. Results: Group A showed significantly improved masticatory parameters compared to Group B, including higher bite force (mean value of 450 N vs. 320 N, p < 0.01) and lower chewing cycle counts to achieve optimal food breakdown. Quality of life scores demonstrated a significant improvement in patients treated with modern prosthodontic methods, with mean OHIP-14 scores improving by 40% compared to a 25% improvement in the conventional group. Conclusion: Modern prosthodontic methods provide marked benefits in terms of masticatory performance and overall quality of life when compared to conventional treatments. Clinicians should consider these advancements when planning treatment for patients requiring prosthodontic rehabilitation.

LIVE INVESTIGATION OF THE INTESTINAL LYMPHATIC SYSTEM FOLLOWING GASTRIC RESECTION

К. Chartaqov, Х. Chartaqova, А. Chartaqov

This study explores the impact of gastric resection on the lymphatic system of the small intestine with respect to fat absorption. The authors conducted a vital investigation of intestinal lymphatic vessels in 34 dogs using a biological injection method. It was found that under normal conditions, fat absorption occurs predominantly in the duodenum and proximal small intestine. However, after gastric resection, this process is disrupted and shifts to the terminal sections of the small intestine and, in some cases, even to the large intestine.

This displacement was particularly pronounced after gastroenterostomy procedures performed using the Polya–Reichel method. Under such conditions, the lymphatic system of the large intestine acquired the ability to absorb fats—an uncharacteristic function under normal physiological conditions. These findings highlight the high compensatory and adaptive capacity of the intestinal lymphatic system during the postoperative period.

SOME PATTERNS OF CHANGES IN THE LYMPHOCIRCULATORY SYSTEM OF THE INTESTINE AFTER GASTRIC RESECTION

D. Chartaqov, Х. Chartaqova , А. Chartaqov

The present study investigates morphological and histochemical changes in the lymphocirculatory system of the small intestine following various types of gastric resection in dogs. A total of 122 dogs were examined, including 104 that underwent gastric resection using different methods (Billroth I, Kupriyanov-Zakharov, Hofmeister-Finsterer, and Polna-Reichel) and 18 in the control group. Structural transformations of lymphatic capillaries and vessels were analyzed over different postoperative periods ranging from 3 days to 1 year. Significant alterations were observed in the mucosal lymphatic network, including capillary dilation, new anastomoses, and wall protrusions. Pathohistological examinations revealed edema, infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells, deformation of villi and crypts, and epithelial atrophy. These changes were most prominent in the early postoperative period, with partial recovery and adaptation over time. The findings highlight compensatory remodeling of intestinal lymphatic vessels aimed at restoring microcirculation and lymphatic drainage under conditions of venous stasis and interstitial edema caused by surgical trauma.

SELECTIVE OCCLUSAL GRINDING IN RESTORATIVE AND PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY: INDICATIONS, TECHNIQUES, AND CLINICAL OUTCOMES

Muzaffarbek Normatov

Background: Selective occlusal grinding (SOG) is a clinical procedure used to correct occlusal disharmonies and abnormal contacts, thereby improving the distribution of occlusal forces. In restorative dentistry, SOG serves both a corrective and a preventive role—minimizing wear, reducing the incidence of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and enhancing the longevity of restorative treatments. Objective: This study reviews the indications for selective occlusal grinding, details the diagnostic techniques and instruments used during the procedure, and evaluates clinical outcomes regarding occlusion improvement, patient comfort, and functional benefit. Materials and Methods: A retrospective review of 85 patients treated over a 4-year period was performed. Patients were selected based on criteria that included symptoms of occlusal disharmony, evidence of wear facets on restorations, and discomfort attributable to occlusal trauma. Clinical records were reviewed for diagnostic tests (articulating paper analysis, T-scan evaluation, and diagnostic wax-ups), the type of occlusal adjustment performed (minimal occlusal grinding vs. extensive selective grinding), and subsequent clinical outcomes. Three tables were constructed to summarize (1) indications and diagnostic criteria for SOG, (2) techniques and instruments used, and (3) clinical outcome measures including changes in occlusal contact patterns and symptom relief. Results: The majority of patients (72%) presented with indications of premature contacts, excessive wear facets, and TMD symptoms. Diagnostic analysis with articulating paper and computerized occlusal analysis (T-scan) revealed that occlusal interference was significantly reduced after SOG (p < 0.01). Clinically, 80% of patients reported improvement in discomfort and function, with a mean reduction in the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain score from 6.4 preoperatively to 2.1 at the 6month follow-up. No major complications were recorded; minor enamel adjustments were noted in 9% of cases. Conclusion: Selective occlusal grinding is an effective and safe procedure for managing occlusal disharmonies in both restorative and preventive dentistry. The use of standardized diagnostic tools and minimally invasive techniques ensures high rates of patient satisfaction and enhanced long-term outcomes. Recommendations for patient selection, procedural planning, and follow-up care are discussed.

MODERN DIAGNOSTIC METHODS, EARLY DETECTION, AND MONITORING PROTOCOLS FOR OPHTHALMOPATHY IN WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE

Muhammadumar Kodirov

Background: Thyroid eye disease (TED) is an autoimmune orbital disorder predominantly affecting women aged 18–45 years (Eckstein et al., 1997; Bartalena et al., 2016). Early detection and structured monitoring are critical to prevent vision loss and optimize outcomes. Objective: To review state-of-the-art diagnostic modalities, identify early clinical markers, and evaluate evidence-based monitoring protocols tailored for reproductive-aged women. Methods: We performed a narrative review of studies (2018–2025) in PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science using terms "thyroid eye disease," "diagnostics," "early signs," and "monitoring protocols." Eligible reports included adult women (18–45 years) and described clinical scoring, imaging, serology, or follow-up strategies (Population Medicine, 2023). Results: The Clinical Activity Score (CAS) remains the primary clinical tool (CAS ≥3 indicates active inflammation) (Eckstein et al., 1997). Advanced imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, OCT) enhances subclinical detection (Luccas et al., 2023; Waldstein, 2020). Serological markers—TSHR-Ab and emerging cytokine panels (IL-6, TNF-α)—correlate with activity (Bahn, 2016). Early signs include eyelid retraction, periorbital edema, and conjunctival injection (Verywell Health, 2021). Monitoring per EUGOGO/ATA guidelines calls for monthly CAS, imaging every 3–6 months in active disease, and biannual serology. Conclusions: A multimodal approach—standardized clinical scoring, advanced imaging, and serological profiling—enables early TED detection in reproductive-aged women. Structured follow-up per international guidelines facilitates timely interventions and improved patient-reported outcomes.

I. Abdurakhmonov, A. Arifkhuzhaev, R. Abdulkhakova, M. Djuraev.

The clinical significance of PVES is determined by the fact that almost 80.0% of patients sooner or later develop tachyarrhythmic attacks, which under certain conditions are transformed into atrial and ventricular fibrillation, posing a threat to the patient’s life. Objective. To study the prevalence of various forms of premature ventricular excitation of the heart in school-age children. To establish the frequency and structure of premature ventricular excitation of the heart in school-age children. Material and methods. To identify cases of PVES in school-age children, 1733 children aged 7-14 years (827 girls, 906 boys) were examined. Results. Summarizing the results of the study and clinical observation of children with PVES, it can be stated that the manifestations of the latter are not a rare pathology for children in our region. PVES have a number of clinical and electrocardiographic features associated with the health and pre- and postnatal development of children, they have impaired electrophysiological features of the myocardium, asynchronism of the depolarization phases of the atria and ventricles, disproportion in the ECG intervals of de- and repolarization of the ventricles, which leads to inhibition of the contractility of the myocardium with the development of hypertrophy of the heart, an increase in the risk of developing supraventricular tachyarrhythmias. Conclusion. For early diagnostics and prevention of life-threatening arrhythmias caused by premature ventricular excitation (PVES), it is recommended to conduct systematic targeted preventive examinations among school-age children. Clinical, anamnestic and ECG criteria for PVE syndromes and phenomena, their types WPW, CLC, Mahaim are presented. Additional information characterizing the electromechanical activity of the atria is presented for doctors.

THE ROLE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES IN PUBLIC FINANCE MANAGEMENT IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

E. Eshbanbetov , M. Bauyetdinov

The autonomy of local government authorities represents a crucial and intriguing issue. Several factors contribute to the establishment of such autonomy, among which financial independence stands out as one of the most significant. In the Polish legal system, the fundamental principles of the finances of local self-government units are accorded the highest legal status, having been incorporated into the Constitution of 1997. The financial autonomy of local self-government entities is expressed through their ability to independently generate financial resources and to allocate and utilize these resources at their own discretion. For the state, what is particularly important is not merely the receipt of funds from the state budget, but rather the establishment of a legal basis for financial self-sufficiency. Anargul Elmuratova

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the global and regional prevalence of congenital heart defects (CHD) in children, distinguishing between cyanotic and acyanotic forms. Drawing on data from population‐based registries and published meta‐analyses, we report a rise in birth prevalence of CHD from 1970–2017 to a peak of 9.41 per 1,000 live births in 2010–17 [1]. In the United States, approximately 1 in 110 live births are affected [8]. Cyanotic defects (e.g., tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of great arteries) comprise 25%–30% of cases, while acyanotic defects (e.g., ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect) account for 70%–75% [1]. Statistical analyses (χ² tests, logistic regression) reveal significant regional variation (p<0.001) and associations with maternal risk factors. Results underscore the growing burden of CHD and inform targeted screening and intervention strategies.

THE REPLICATION MECHANISM OF HIV: MOLECULAR INSIGHTS, HOST CELL TARGETS, AND THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS

Araboyev Shoxruxbek

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), a single-stranded RNA virus from the Retroviridae family, is the causative agent of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). HIV primarily targets immune cells, particularly CD4+ T-helper cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells, using specific surface glycoproteins and co-receptors (CCR5 and CXCR4) to enter host cells. Its life cycle is dependent on three essential viral enzymes: reverse transcriptase, integrase, and protease. These enzymes facilitate the transformation of viral RNA into DNA, its integration into the host genome, and the production of mature infectious particles. This article provides a comprehensive overview of HIV’s molecular replication strategy, the role of host cell receptors, and the mechanism of novel antiviral agents such as lenacapavir.
