Abstract

: The article shows the role analyses the role of the Information Technologies in

the learning process. The help of Information technology in various ways in education.

The evolution of technology has impacted on every part of our lives from banking

to the communicating with each other living in different parts of the world. In fact,
technology is becoming an essential part of developing society, and its influence with
education is therefore inevitable. The functional properties of modern information
technology provide the educational process with many possibilities, which can contribute
to the quality of education. Technology not only provides students with access to variety
of online resources, but also aids them in the learning process thereby technology make
education easier, joyful and accessible. Informatization of education is one of the most
important conditions for the successful development of society’s informatization
processes.

In modern society, the main technical means of information processing is the

personal computer. The introduction of the personal computer into the information sphere
and the use of telecommunications defined a new stage in the development of
information technology, which from that moment on is called «new», «computer».
Information Technology in education supports educators and learners to combine
education and technology. With the help of Information Technology, it is easy to provide
online classes or audio visual materials. It has made study possible for students to have
qualifications online (without attending university physically) and educate themselves
through online classes.

Advantages of using computer technology in education:
-IT significantly expands the possibilities of presenting learning information. The

use of colour, graphics, audio and all modern video technology makes it possible to
recreate a real life situation.

- The ICT engage learners in the learning process, encouraging them to discover

their talents and to stimulate their intellectual activity.

- The use of ICT in the learning process increases the possibility of setting

learning goals and managing the process of their solution. Computers allow to build and
analyze models of different subjects, situations and processes.

-The computer can significantly increase the motivation of students to study.

Motivation is increased by applying the appropriate encouragement of correct task
solutions.

Increasing the productivity of all levels of the teaching and learning process

through the use of modern information technology:

- Increasing the efficiency and quality of the learning process;
- Increasing the activity of cognitive activity;
- deepening of intersubjective connections;
- increase the volume and optimize the search for the needed information.
The Internet has now become a global source of information available at any time,

to anyone, anywhere in the world, transforming the entire world into a global information
society. It has greatly improved communication and interaction between the research
community and allowed access to a wide range of the latest information. Searching on the
World Wide Web make the research easier and provide up-to-date information. In
addition, Internet supports thousands of different kinds of operational and experimental
services one of which is library, consequently learners get plenty of data on this online
library. A few years ago, people could spend days in libraries and bookshops looking for
the right literature. But nowadays the situation has changed. With the advent of the online
library, the search time is much shorter. All that is needed to know is where to look for
the information you need and the World Wide Web is there to help in every situation.

Integrated lessons using multimedia are the most widely used one. Learning

presentations are becoming an integral part of learning, but this is one of the examples of
the use of IT. Multimedia can be used to convey information to people effectively.
According to research, a benefit of multimedia learning is that it takes advantage of the
brain’s ability to make connections between verbal and visual representations of content,
leading to a deeper understanding, which in turn supports the transfer of learning to other
situations. All of this is important in today’s 21st century classrooms. A large percentage
of the human brain dedicates itself to visual processing. Thus, using images, video and
animations alongside a text stimulates the brain. Student attention and retention increase.
Under these circumstances, in a multimedia learning environment, students can identify
and solve problems more easily compared to the scenario where teaching is made
possible only by textbooks.

Distance learning is one of the important results of the use of ICT in education.

Distance learning became most effective with the advent of computer-based learning
tools and telecommunications networks. The main feature of this stage of distance
learning development is the use of interactive training programmes and the availability of
immediate feedback between the student and the teacher. Many educators are making
grand claims about how distance education is likely to change education and training.
Certainly, the concept of distance education is exciting, and recent hardware and software
innovations are making telecommunications distance education systems more available,
easier to use, and less costly. Distance education has begun to enter the mainstream.

Information technology is no longer so much a tool to supplement the education

system as it is an imperative to establish a new order of knowledge and its institutional
structures. For students, information technology provides an opportunity to be
competitive in the labour market and in their future profession, to acquire and consolidate

the skills and methods acquired in the study of professional disciplines with the
application of new professional information technology.

With society’s expanding knowledge and technological progress, our country

demands the acquisition of skills that will enable it to stay up with the advancement of
science and technology. In the global village, educational systems and, as a result,
education will be inextricably linked to other social institutions, national and
international contacts. In the twenty-first century, education is the epicenter of all
changes and developments. A culture of information technology in education is required.
This culture, as well as the usage of physical resources, must be learned. The system
must be taught how to use information technology; otherwise, purchasing and
transferring technology, as well as investing, will be a waste of resources. Despite the
fact that these technologies are not neutral in any way, they should be used to
communicate information within current social institutions. The educational system,
however, is subject to some changes because change and transformation are inherent in
human social organizations. However, the essential issue is what tactics should be
implemented so that education systems in developing nations do not just follow the lead
of rich countries, but instead grow and evolve in accordance with their own demands.
Following an explanation of the function of information technology in education in poor
countries and Iran, a discussion of how to enter the sphere of information society and
how to use information technologies is offered in this paper.
