LINGUOCULTURAL DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES BETWEEN
ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN PROVERBS

Annotation:
This article investigates the linguocultural differences and similarities
between English and Russian proverbs by means of literature review conducted by
different authors and suggests comparative analysis of English and Russian proverbs that
would allow readers to explore the linguistic and cultural nuances between these two
languages. Moreover, it delves into the structural differences, cultural themes, and
metaphorical expressions found in English and Russian proverbs.

The investigation of linguocultural differences and similarities between English
and Russian proverbs has been the subject of several studies in the field of linguistics and
cultural studies. This literature review aims to summarize and analyze previous research
conducted on this topic.

collectivism. However, the shared purpose of imparting wisdom and utilizing
