This article provides a theoretical analysis of one of the key areas of neuropsychology — the relationship between brain structures and cognitive processes. The study examines the connection between cognitive functions such as memory, attention, speech, perception, and thinking and different areas of the cerebral cortex. The research is based on the scientific works of A.R. Luria, L.S. Vygotsky, R. Sperry, O. Sacks, and E. Goldberg. In this study it is highlighted the theoretical and practical significance of neuropsychological approaches.References
