THE ROLE OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM IN RESPIRATORY SYSTEM DISEASES
Abstract
This article scientifically analyzes the role and importance of the immune system in respiratory diseases. The anatomical structure of the respiratory tract and lung organs, the innate and adaptive response mechanisms of the immune system, as well as its role in inflammatory processes are considered in detail. Also, the dysfunction of the immune system in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pneumonia and viral infections, its diagnostic and therapeutic potential are analyzed. The study shows the urgent importance of immune system mechanisms in the development of strategies for the prevention, early detection and effective treatment of respiratory diseases.
