Abstract
This research article adopts a reader response approach to explore the theme of infidelity in the novel Ajo Obi. The study examines readers' interpretations, reactions, and emotional responses to the portrayal of infidelity in the narrative. By analyzing reader responses through interviews, surveys, and close reading of the text, the research aims to understand how individual readers engage with and make meaning of the theme of infidelity. The findings shed light on the diverse perspectives, personal experiences, and cultural contexts that influence readers' interpretations of infidelity in Ajo Obi. The implications of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics surrounding infidelity in literature and offer insights into the significance of reader responses in shaping the meaning and reception of literary themes.
