As digital communication continues to evolve, so too does the way Uzbek speakers interact online. This study explores various elements, including the use of abbreviations, slang, code-switching, and the impact of social media on language. By examining informal syntax, visual elements like emojis, and the role of gender in communication, we uncover how the internet is shaping modern Uzbek discourse. Additionally, the article addresses the tension between language preservation and change, highlighting the importance of understanding these dynamics in the context of a rapidly digitalizing world.

This article examines the linguistic and cultural evolution of key fashion terms—such as “corset,” “suit,” “streetwear,” and digital-era neologisms like “drip” and “core aesthetics.” By tracing their etymology, sociopolitical context, and semantic transformation, the study highlights how fashion terminology functions as a mirror of identity, ideology, and technological change. Supplementary terms including “le smoking,” “athleisure,” “grunge,” “genderless fashion,” and “Y2K” are also analyzed to explore the intersection of subculture, media, and linguistic branding.

This article explores the linguopoetic features of Ikbol Mirzo’s works, focusing on the interplay of language, imagery, and cultural symbolism that defines his poetry. Renowned for infusing traditional Uzbek poetic conventions with a contemporary sensibility, Ikbol Mirzo harnesses lexical nuance, metaphorical layering, and rhythmic innovation to yield verses of deep emotional and intellectual resonance. Drawing on linguistics and literary analysis, the study examines how the poet’s diction, phonetic patterning, and syntactic arrangements jointly create a tapestry of auditory and semantic textures. It also addresses the significance of historical references and folkloric elements in Ikbol Mirzo’s oeuvre, underscoring the linguistic synergy that binds them. By elucidating his signature fusion of classical motifs with modern rhetorical devices, this article highlights Ikbol Mirzo’s role in extending the Uzbek literary tradition, while offering fresh insights into the evolving nature of poetic expression in a globalizing cultural landscape.

This study examines the symbolic representations of phytonyms (plant names) in Marcel Pagnol’s autobiographical novel, Le Château de ma mère, focusing on the dialectical tensions they embody. Through a qualitative literary analysis, the research identifies how Pagnol’s use of plant symbolism reflects contradictions between nature and culture, permanence and transience, and personal memory versus collective identity. This article is about the characteristics of the categories of respect, which involves a comparative study of respect words in Korean language lessons.

Language has historically been a social phenomenon, which has deep spiritual and cultural significance for every person and every specialist. For this reason, language, language teaching, language research, especially the study of our native language through comparison with foreign languages, has become even more relevant among philologists of our country after the Uzbek language was given the status of the state language.

Korean and Uzbek languages belong to the same language family and are considered to be close to each other in terms of cultural indicators. In this regard, the relevance of our topic requires the analysis of the existence or absence of the category of respect, which is a complex process in Korean, in the Uzbek language, its role, translation phenomenon, and also the object of communication.

The article is devoted to the urgent issue of forming patriotic consciousness among students of higher educational institutions. It emphasizes the significance of pedagogical activity as a key tool in nurturing in young people a sense of respect for their homeland, civic responsibility, and national identity. The methodological foundations of patriotic education, its goals, objectives, and forms of implementation in the modern educational space are revealed. Special attention is paid to the role of the teacher as a bearer of values and an organizer of the educational process. The article analyzes examples of successful implementation of patriotic projects and programs in universities.

It examines semantic, morphological, and syntactic methods in detail, highlighting how each contributes to the creation of technical terms. The study emphasizes the importance of utilizing the internal resources of the Uzbek language to form terminology that is both linguistically rich and culturally relevant. The article discusses the significance of poems written in the aruz meter in studying the components of classical poetics. It explores the artistic mastery and thematic range of poet Samandar Vohidov’s quatrains through illustrative examples. Unique features of the poet's quatrains composed in the aruz meter are supported with specific instances. The article also provides a literary analysis of his ghazals, which were inspired by earlier classical poets and created in full adherence to traditional norms. Additionally, it examines minor lyrical genres and the artistic imagery used within them.

Quality education is a fundamental aspect of any nation's development, and the foundation for providing quality education lies in the training and preparation of effective educators. This systematic review aims to analyze the literature surrounding comprehensive teacher education and its impact on enhancing quality education. Drawing from a wide array of studies across global contexts, this review synthesizes research findings on the key elements of teacher education programs, including curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, field experiences, and ongoing professional development. The review identifies best practices and highlights the critical role of comprehensive teacher education in producing well-equipped, adaptable, and effective educators. This article concludes by proposing practical recommendations for strengthening teacher education programs to improve educational outcomes and meet the diverse needs of students.

This article explores the sociolinguistic dimensions of discourse markers—linguistic elements that organize speech and guide listener interpretation without contributing direct propositional content. Drawing on studies in pragmatics, conversation analysis, and interactional sociolinguistics, the discussion underscores how seemingly trivial markers such as “well,” “so,” “you know,” and their equivalents in other languages play pivotal roles in signaling stance, managing turn-taking, and negotiating social identity. Through examination of multilingual contexts, particularly in Uzbek- and Russian-speaking communities, discourse markers emerge as indicators of group membership and symbols of linguistic capital. They can convey politeness, mitigate disagreement, or highlight alignment with particular social norms, making them central to discussions of language ideology and power. Methodological approaches range from ethnographic fieldwork and qualitative interpretation of recorded interactions to quantitative corpus-based analyses that reveal frequency and distribution across demographic categories such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status. In highlighting these diverse frameworks, the article demonstrates that discourse markers serve as critical tools for shaping interaction and constructing social meaning, thereby meriting dedicated scholarly attention in broader sociolinguistic research.

This article presents a comparative linguistic analysis of educational terminology in English and Uzbek, focusing on structural, semantic, and functional aspects. It explores how educational terms are formed through word-formation processes such as affixation, compounding, and borrowing in both languages. The study also examines the semantic scope of key terms, revealing differences in abstraction, cultural specificity, and conceptual overlap. Functionally, the paper highlights how these terms are used in academic, policy, and classroom discourse. The findings indicate that English terms are often more technical and abstract, while Uzbek terms are culturally rooted and contextually practical. The increasing use of English loanwords in Uzbek educational discourse reflects global influences but also creates challenges for clarity and equivalence. This research contributes to bilingual terminology development, educational translation, and cross-cultural understanding in pedagogical settings.

Haldun Taner is one of the most prominent figures in Turkish dramaturgy, known for his unique linguistic style and rich narrative techniques. This article focuses on the use of argo in Taner’s plays, analyzing its artistic and dramatic functions. Argo, a form of language specific to certain social groups, is often used in informal speech and serves as a powerful tool in drama to enhance realism. Haldun Taner frequently employs argo in his works to provide deeper insights into the social backgrounds, characteristics, and personalities of his characters.

The article examines how Taner integrates argo into his plays and its role in shaping social critique and artistic expression. Through an analysis of selected works, the study explores how the playwright uses character speech patterns to reflect social stratification and to add authenticity to his dialogues. Additionally, the research investigates how Taner employs argo to depict the linguistic landscape of his era, creating a more dynamic stage language while individualizing his characters. The study also evaluates the artistic impact of argo in dramatic texts and its influence on theatrical performance.

This article will discuss the role and importance of games in teaching foreign languages. First of all, we will learn about the origin of the word "game." Then we will consider the types of games in education in language learning today. In addition, the article also provides examples of scientific research on games and their positive results in the educational process.

All languages in the world have grammatical categories such as nouns, adjectives, numerals, pronouns, verbs, and auxiliary words, which form the unity of a particular language. In particular, Arabic grammarians and Arabists divide all words in the Arabic language into the following three important word groups: These are: إسْمٌism, فِعْلٌ verb and حَرْفٌ auxiliary words. Among the word groups, adverbs, which belong to the group of auxiliary words, also have an important role and scope as grammatical units. This article will focus on adverbs in Arabic, especially adverbs. The types of adverbs and their meanings are discussed, and adverbs that refer to place and time are classified using tables.

This article presents a comparative linguistic analysis of tourism advertising texts in English and Uzbek. It focuses on the structural, lexical, and pragmatic features that characterize these texts within their respective cultural and communicative contexts. The study draws on a corpus of 50 tourism advertisements (25 in each language) and applies discourse analysis methods to identify persuasive strategies, lexical choices, and cultural references. The findings reveal that English texts prioritize emotional appeal, direct imperatives, and global accessibility, while Uzbek texts emphasize cultural pride, hospitality, and traditional values through descriptive and context-rich expressions. The analysis demonstrates how language in tourism discourse not only informs but also persuades and reflects national identity. The results contribute to cross-cultural communication research and offer practical insights for tourism marketers, translators, and discourse analysts.

This article provides information about xiehouyu, one of the unique expressions of the Chinese language. Xiehouyu is an expression consisting of two parts, the first part of which is often descriptive, while the second reveals its hidden meaning. The article discusses the structure of xiehouyu, the context of use, cultural significance and its role in everyday life. The content of these expressions is illustrated through examples and their importance in language learning is shown.

The Korean Diaspora is one of the largest ethnic groups in Uzbekistan, with a population of over 200 thousand. CIS Koreans call themselves Koryo-saram. Their language is Koryo-mar  dialect. Being close to the Yukchin dialect, the Koryo-marunderwentthe strong influence of the Russian language. Koryo-saramalso speak the local languages: Uzbek, Russian, Kazakh and others. Representatives of many nationalities and ethnic groups have lived in Uzbekistan since ancient times. Interethnic harmony is one of the priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, that implies the unity and cooperation of numerous nationalities and ethnic groups, living in a particular area. This issue is also very important for the Republic of Uzbekistan. The harmony in interethnic relations effectively influences the political and economic development of a multinational society. The vivid example is Uzbekistan – South Korean relations. There are 31 Korean national cultural centers in Uzbekistan. They have the same conditions for the development of language, culture and customs as other nationalities and ethnic groups. The Interregional festival of Korean language and culture is also traditionally held with the support of the South Korean embassy [1]. In a letter of thanks to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye said, "I was pleasantly surprised and deeply impressed by your attention to the Korean diaspora in Uzbekistan [8]."

This study examines the accentual features in Uzbek and Turkish from an axiolinguistic perspective. Accent, as a prosodic feature, plays a crucial role in meaning formation and communicative intent [1]. The study explores the functional and perceptual aspects of stress patterns in both languages, highlighting their axiological implications. By employing a comparative analysis, the research identifies similarities and differences in accentuation, revealing the influence of sociocultural values on prosody [2]. The findings contribute to a broader understanding of linguistic evaluation mechanisms in Turkic languages. Additionally, this paper delves into historical linguistics and the diachronic development of stress patterns in these languages, providing a more comprehensive view of the phonological evolution of Uzbek and Turkish [3].

This article explores how evaluative categories—those conveying judgments about desirability, moral worth, or social acceptability—are formed and maintained through three interrelated cognitive mechanisms: metaphor, frame, and prototype. Drawing from cognitive linguistic perspectives, it demonstrates that metaphors map characteristics from tangible or familiar domains onto abstract concepts, subtly shaping moral and aesthetic judgments. Frames situate these metaphors within culturally specific schemas, prompting socially shared interpretations and emotional reactions. Prototypes, which pivot around “best exemplars,” further guide category membership and evaluative significance by highlighting qualities that speakers regard as central. By illustrating how these processes intersect in discourse, the study underscores language’s active role in constructing and negotiating social values. It also highlights the fluid nature of evaluative categories in response to cultural shifts, technological change, and evolving norms. This analysis contributes to broader research on how language usage both mirrors and perpetuates collective perspectives, emphasizing the importance of studying metaphorical patterns, frames, and prototypes to uncover implicit value judgments in diverse communicative contexts.
