education, pedagogical technologies.
Introduction:
In today's era of globalization and the development of international relations, the
issue of learning and teaching foreign languages, in particular, the Turkish language, is gaining
relevance. Turkish is one of the languages spoken by millions of people in the world, with a
rich historical and cultural heritage. Therefore, there is a growing need for modern
methodologies and advanced pedagogical technologies for its effective teaching and learning.
Unlike traditional teaching methodologies, today the organization of the educational process
based on an integrative approach plays an important role. The integrative approach not only
serves to develop students' knowledge, skills and competencies in the language teaching process,
but also allows ensuring interdisciplinary connections, combining educational materials with
real-life events, and creating a communicative environment. In this regard, improving the
methodology of teaching Turkish based on an integrative approach is one of the urgent tasks
facing teachers.
The use of an integrative approach in the language teaching process serves to develop students'
linguistic and cultural competencies, prepare them for real communicative situations, and form
skills such as independent thinking, analysis, and creative approach. At the same time, the
methodology developed on the basis of an integrative approach allows for the use of multimodal
(visual, auditory, etc.) tools, the use of interactive methods, and the introduction of innovative
technologies into the learning process.
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the integrative approach, its role and
importance in the process of teaching the Turkish language, as well as ways to improve the
methodology based on this approach. Also, practical recommendations and approaches based on
best practices are considered, revealing the effectiveness of the integrative methodology in
teaching the Turkish language.
Main part:
Integrative approach is a method based on the integration of various disciplines,
competencies and types of activities in the educational process, which serves to harmonize
students' knowledge and skills with life situations. In the process of language teaching, this
approach is aimed at the joint development of students' grammatical, lexical, phonetic and
cultural knowledge. Learning a language through an integrative approach allows not only to

acquire linguistic knowledge, but also to prepare for intercultural communication, to form critical
and creative thinking skills.
The integrative approach to teaching Turkish as a foreign language shows the inextricable link
between language and culture. In the process of learning a language, the student receives
information not only about grammatical rules, but also about the history, traditions, values
and lifestyle of the Turkish people. This plays an important role in the development of
communicative competence in language teaching.
The following methodological principles are followed in the process of teaching Turkish based
on an integrative approach:
Language is integrated with history, geography, literature, art and other subjects during the
teaching process. For example, language learning exercises are organized based on important
events in Turkish history or famous literary works as the topic of the lesson.
Dialogue-based exercises are conducted so that students have the opportunity to use the language
in real-life situations. Role-playing games, dialogues, discussions are effective methods for this.
The integrative approach requires the use of various tools such as not only text, but also video,
audio, interactive platforms during the lesson. These tools make the language learning process
interesting and effective.
Methods such as open questions, free essay writing, and solving problem situations are used
during the lesson.
In teaching Turkish based on an integrative approach, it is necessary to jointly develop the
student's linguistic and cultural competencies, create opportunities for using the language in real-
life contexts, increase students' interest and encourage their active participation, and form a
broad worldview based on interdisciplinary knowledge.
However, there are some difficulties in implementing this approach in practice: insufficient or
inappropriate teaching materials; insufficient training of teachers in integrative methods;
inadequate adaptation of curricula and limited resources.
The following areas are important for the effective application of an integrative approach to
teaching Turkish and improving the methodology. Revising curricula and creating integrated
content. Developing materials that ensure interdisciplinary connections for Turkish language
lessons and organizing classes based on them. Improving the skills of teachers. Training teachers
and conducting seminars and trainings on integrative methods, interactive technologies and
innovative approaches. Widely introducing modern technologies into the educational process.
Establishing interactive and multimodal teaching through distance learning, multimedia tools,
virtual platforms. Encouraging independent learning activities of students. Strengthening the
language learning process through project development, independent research and presentations.
Analysis and results:
Theoretical and practical research on improving the methodology of
teaching Turkish based on an integrative approach has shown that this approach is effective in
simultaneously developing students' linguistic and communicative competencies.
Ensuring connections with subjects such as history, literature, culture, geography in the process
of teaching Turkish increases students' interest in learning the language and helps to consolidate
their knowledge in a real-life context. For example, by teaching the culture of the Turkish people,
students can expand their vocabulary and develop contextual understanding.
During the analysis, it was observed that when using video, audio, interactive platforms and
other multimodal tools, students' active participation in the lesson process increased, and
information retention and memorization indicators improved. These tools are suitable for
different learning styles and provide an individual approach to language teaching.
According to the results of the analysis, classes based on communicative tasks (role-playing
games, communicative exercises, discussions) based on an integrative approach increase
students' ability to use the language freely and actively. This increases students' confidence in
communicating and prepares them for real-life situations.
It was found that the qualifications and methodological training of teachers are important for the
effective use of an integrative approach. During the analysis, it was observed that some teachers

encountered difficulties in using multimodal tools or implementing interdisciplinary integration.
Therefore, the need for continuous professional development of teachers and provision of
methodological manuals was justified.
According to the results of the study, students trained on the basis of an integrative approach
achieved high results not only in acquiring language knowledge, but also in the skills of
independent thinking, critical analysis, teamwork and creative approach.
Main results:
Teaching based on an integrative approach helps to jointly develop students' linguistic and
cultural competencies.
The use of multimodal tools makes the language learning process effective, interesting and
active.
Activities based on communicative tasks serve as an effective tool for bringing language
knowledge closer to real life.
The methodological preparation of teachers is an important factor in the successful
implementation of an integrative approach.
The methodology based on an integrative approach creates the basis for the formation of
independent reading and thinking skills of students.
The results of the analysis show that improving the methodology of teaching Turkish based on
an integrative approach serves not only to master language knowledge, but also to form
comprehensive competencies. This approach can be recognized as an important methodological
tool that meets the requirements of modern education and brings the language teaching process
to a new level.
Conclusion:
Improving the methodology of teaching Turkish based on an integrative approach is
one of the most urgent issues in today's globalization and intercultural dialogue. As shown in this
article, an integrative approach ensures that students learn the language not only on the basis of
grammatical and lexical rules, but also in harmony with culture, history, art and other subjects.
This approach allows developing students' communicative competence in language teaching,
forming the ability to think creatively and critically, and preparing them for independent learning
activities.
The teaching process based on an integrative approach requires the use of multimodal tools,
ensuring interdisciplinary connections, conducting classes based on real communicative
situations, and using interactive and innovative methods. At the same time, such an approach
also requires high qualifications, a creative approach, and the mastery and application of modern
technologies from the teacher.
The use of an integrative approach in teaching Turkish provides the following advantages:
Increasing students' interest in the language;
Creating an opportunity to understand the connection between language and culture;
Forming a broader worldview by integrating interdisciplinary knowledge;
Increasing the effectiveness of the communicative approach in language teaching.
However, there are some problems in applying the integrative approach in the teaching process,
including factors such as insufficient teaching materials, methodological training of teachers, and
limited technical means. Therefore, in order to improve the methodology, it is necessary to
improve the qualifications of teachers, develop appropriate teaching materials, widely introduce
modern technologies, and adapt the learning process.
In conclusion, improving the methodology of teaching Turkish based on an integrative approach
serves to make the language teaching process more effective, meaningful, and closer to life. This,
in turn, is important in increasing students' motivation to learn the language, preparing them for
independent thinking and active communication.
