This article analyzes the legal foundations of gender equality policy, the role of the state in its formation and development. The content of the normative and legal framework guaranteeing equal rights and opportunities for women and men in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular the Constitution, the Law "On Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men" and other relevant regulatory documents, is disclosed. The article is aimed at highlighting the legal mechanisms, institutions and practical significance of gender policy implementation in society, and it is argued that ensuring gender equality is one of the priority areas of state policy.References
