EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE LEARNING
Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute
We all know that today we can face to online
education in every educational courses. Especial-
ly, it is widely spread for last two years, that even
children know what type of learning it is. But,
what about its effectiveness, does it really give ef-
fective result for learners? What is better, online
learning or offline? In this article, I want to cover
effectiveness of online learning. Also, with this
we will look through the disadvantage ones.
Online learning is one of the new innovative
study methods that have been introduced in the
pedagogy field. In the last few years, there has
been a great shift in the training methods, students
can now learn remotely using the internet and
computers. Online learning comes in many forms
and has been developing with the introduction of
new technologies. Most of the universities, high
schools and other institutions in the world have
all instituted this form of learning and the student
population in the online class is increasing fast.
There has been a lot of research on the impacts
of online education as compared to the ordinary
classroom education.
Online learning or E learning is a term used
to describe various learning environments that are
conducted and supported by the use of computers
and the internet. One of the key advantages of on-
line learning is the ability of students to study at
their own comfort. For a long time students had
to leave their comfort areas and attend lecturers.
This change in environment causes lack of con-
centration to students. In contrast, E-learning en-
ables the students to choose the best environment
for study and this promotes their ability to under-
stand. As a result, students enjoy the learning pro-
cess as compared to the conventional classroom
learning.
Another benefit is time and cost saving. On-
line students are able to study at home and this
saves them the travel and accommodation costs.
This is in contrast with the classroom environ-
ment where learners have to pay for transport and
accommodation costs as well as any other costs
associated with the learning process.
Online study has been found to reduce the
workload on the tutors. Most of the online notes
and books are availed to the students and this re-
duces the teacher’s workload. Due to the avail-
ability of teaching materials online, tutors are not
required to search for materials. Teachers usually
prepare lessons and this reduces the task of train-
ing students over and over again.
Accessibility to learning materials is another
benefit of online learning. Students participating
in online study have unlimited access to learning
materials and this makes them have the ability
to study effectively and efficiently. On the other
hand, students in the classroom environment have
to take notes as the lecture progress and these
notes may not be accurate as compared to the ma-
terials uploaded on the websites.
The main benefits of E-learning to institutions
is the ability to provide training to large number
of students located at any corner of the world.
These students are charged training fees and this
increases the money available to the institution.
Online education is being achieved through
computers in a way with the facility of the internet.
Computers and many types of gadgets are used
for online education. But for this the quality of the
internet should be good, we have to pay attention
to this.
As many of us know that e-learning is a form
of distance education. Where the teacher sits far
away, whether that place is at home or outside
the house, they can provide education to their
students.
Through this, teachers and students are
exchanging their ideas, which is a good way to
understand education. Online education also has
many benefits:
Technology changes education:
In the changing environment, there have been
many changes in technology and its use is also
big. Many changes have also been seen in the way
of taking education due to technology. Today, the
teaching-related material used in online education
can be sent from one place to another through
technology online.
No matter where we are in the world, we can
get the learning material delivered to another
place in no time. Like any link, any video related
to education, any file. All these types make online
education even more creative.
Option to fall on any subject or from any
teacher:
One of the benefits of online education is that

УЧЕБНЫХ ЗАВЕДЕНИЯХ
we have options. In online education, we get the
option of which teacher or which subject we want
to study. We can decide it according to us. Along
with choosing the topic, you can discuss that topic
with your teacher by selecting the topic.
Do not be afraid to make notes:
In online education, we do not have to fear
like a classroom that we have to be alert and make
notes with the teacher. In online education,we can
pause our video and watch it again. Instead of
making notes in this way, we can also memorize
them.
Online education convenient:
Online education is very convenient. In this,
the student can sit anywhere and take education.
For this, no one place is fixed and the student gets
relief even in the weather like summer. Students do
not have to go outside the house in this scorching
heat and they get education while sitting at home.
Technology knowledge through online
education:
As we all know that online education of
children is going on at this time. And because of
this, many children have taught new technology
like video chatting and are doing their studies.
With such online classes continuously,
children are learning a new way of reading from
their teachers and are also taking interest in
reading. The changing environment of studies has
also made studies fun and exciting.
While going to school and being in touch
with the teachers, they find this study boring and
exhausting. Apart from finding it fun to know
about technology, children are finding it more
interesting and comfortable to teach while staying
at home.
While online education has many advantages,
it also has its disadvantages. Which does not
appear right from physical to mental form as well.
Some of those disadvantages are as follows.
Internet abuse:
The biggest disadvantage of online is that even
if parents go against their financial condition,
they should provide facilities like mobile, laptop,
computer to the children. But whether the children
are taking proper education from them, they
remain unaware of these things. And children
take the wrong advantage of this and start playing
games in it. Or open the wrong things, which are
not right for them.
Online courses were initially designed in the
format of a teacher/professor teaching material
in a classroom, transmitted and stored with the
help of technology, so that the information could
be accessed later and repeatedly by students.
Students seem to appreciate this format because
they have the possibility of easy access to the
information. However, undergraduate students
tend to be more conservative, which is why they
do not appreciate the format of online courses,
compared with postgraduate students who are
more open to modern work methods in the
educational environment, and prefer participatory
methods and direct interaction within the
university. Online courses require more discipline
from the students. Higher success rates for online
courses can be seen in postgraduate students due
to their maturity, while undergraduate students are
more disinterested in this format, and high school
students are much less inclined to online courses.
High school and university students feel attached to
the teachers/professors or groupmates with whom
they work. Interaction and social relationships
give individuals a sense of security, trust and love,
and these aspects can generate significant success
for the educational process. High aspirations, care
and positive attitude towards learning, motivation
and encouragement of group members, professors
for university students, and teachers for high
school students, can contribute to positive
academic results. University students and high
school students who do not receive significant
moral support from their family compensate with
the moral and social support provided by teaching
staff, which can have significant positive effects
on school results and general success.
The students who appreciate participation
in traditional auditory courses consider it is
important to interact with academia for face-to-
face meetings with professors and groupmates,
and for immediate feedback generated by the
stated circumstances. High school students’
perception in the pre-academic environment is
similar. The challenge of transferring contents
from a traditional teaching format to an online
format generates certain problems, and there are
differences in perception. Thus, students consider
online courses ineffective due to the effects
generated by distance learning: limited interaction
with the school/higher educational institution
environment and groupmates, and increased
interaction with technology. The teaching staff
faces problems regarding content delivery and
lower student interest due to the absence of face-
to-face meetings, lower control over student
groups, and a blockage in the ability to correct
these situations.
It is essential to ensure the continuity of

teaching in the online environment, so the teaching
staff must build their own skills to be able to work
in virtual environments that are of high quality
and technological complexity, for which special
training is not necessarily required.
Online education is known to offer the
benefit of synergy. Here, the format employed
makes room for dynamic communications
between students and the teachers. Through these
communications, sources are shared, and an
open-ended synergy evolves through a learning
process. When each person bestows a view or
opinion through discussions and comments on
others’ work course, it benefits the student to
learn better. This unique advantage is manifested
in a student-centred virtual learning environment
that online learning format alone can contribute.
With online classes, we don’t need to travel to a
different city or commute long distances. We can
stay where we are and keep our current job while
we work toward improving our career with an
online degree. Online education also helps digital
nomads—someone who espouses a technology-
enabled or location-independent lifestyle. We
can watch lectures and complete our coursework
wherever we are.
Whether we are a full-time or part-time online
student, the online education experience provides
a much more manageable schedule. Online edu-
cation has gained much approval on account of its
cheapness. Such is the fact that online courses are
more affordable than those offered at schools or
colleges. While studying in universities, we may
have to spend some money such as transportation,
lodging, and meals, online education may not re-
quire such expenses.
The effectiveness of online education has
shown a number of advantages due to increased
flexibility and learning opportunities: easy access
to experts, exposure to educational environments,
a wide range of types of courses, and joining
student communities. There are also several
disadvantages of online education, such as:
internet browsing issues, computer compatibility,
or technical issues.
Traditional teaching used div language,
facial expressions, and the teacher’s voice as
important learning tools. The transition to online
teaching courses created restrictions on the above
and highlighted the importance of emphasis
in teachers’ voice and reducing the amount of
speech presented to high school students on key
knowledge, using a smaller number of words.
Online education is an amenable instructional
delivery process that includes any learning that
takes place via the internet. Online learning
enables educators to communicate with students
who may not be capable of enrolling in a
traditional classroom course and assists students
who need to work on their own schedule and at
their own speed.
One of the important aspects of online learn-
ing is its inherent flexibility, however, there is a
catch, one has to be extremely self-motivated. The
best online students develop various approaches
for staying up to date on their coursework. Things
like setting aside time every week to study and
create a workspace with minimal distractions can
help immensely.
Online education’s potential advantages in-
volve increased educational access; it provides a
high-quality learning opportunity, improves stu-
dent outcomes and skills, and expands education-
al choice options. Therefore, location, time, and
quality are no longer considered factors in seek-
ing degree courses or higher education because of
online education.
In conclusion, online learning is beneficial
to the students, tutors and the institution offering
these courses. I would therefore recommend that
online learning be implemented on all learning
institutions and research on how to improve
this learning process should be carried out.
Considerable differences between the online
learning environment and classroom environment
should be acknowledged. In the former, teachers
and students don’t meet physically as opposed to
the latter, where they interact face to face.
