THE ROLE OF INTERNET IN THE STUDENTS' LIFE.

Relevance.
The internet is really a big advantage for students, they can get lecture, video
sessions, without spending any charges. Particularly, in the quarantine time we need internet so
much. Nowadays many students stay at home and study online. Students attend lessons and lectures
via the social media. Internet suggests many opportunities to study.
The purpose of the study:
The purpose is to save time for searching information for essential
study. Using internet people can do it very easily.
Materials and methods.
In order to determine the actual role of internet in students' life it was
considered to conduct a survey among students of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and
Tashkent Medical Academy. Survey was conducted among students of 1-4 courses inasmuch as
expected outcome have to be unbiased from region and level of education. The survey was conducted
by voting through Telegram messenger. Participants had an opportunity to answer “Yes” or “No”
and comment on their answer to the question «Do you think you need internet for your study? »
Results.
104 respondents were surveyed. 92% of respondents (95) answered they need using
internet. 8 % (9) - they do not need internet. The students who voted that they will need internet in
the their study, answered diversely to the question why they will need it. Below I will give some
examples of their answers: firstly, internet will be necessary for subsequent communication and
exchange of experience with foreign colleagues. Secondly, internet is needed to participate in online
conferences that are held around the globe, Thirdly, Every day students need a new information about
their study or life. So they spend much time for searching information from books. But in internet
students can do searching very fastly and easily. It saves their time. Fourthly, numerous contests are
also held for medical students and for doctors. And since many of them are international, they are
held online. And if people want to participate in those competitions, then they have to have internet.
Finally, Students need books, so books can be expensive, but using internet resources, students can
download required books.
Conclusion.
Making a conclusion, I can say that students can easily access quality education
materials like tutorial videos on YouTube for free or pay fees online for more quality study materials.
Teachers can also make use of the internet by proving the students with extra study material and
resources such as interactive lessons, educational quiz as well as tutorials. Teachers can record their
lectures and provide students with them for revisions, which is better than reading from notes.
Therefore, it must be mentioned internet cannot replace teacher's role in education process. It can be
as a part of interactive learning.
