THE USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS AND
ELECTRONIC EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES IN TEACHING ENGLISH
D. Kenjabayeva
Abstract: The article is devoted to the use of information and
communication tools and electronic educational resources in teaching
English. The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in
teaching and learning foreign languages has risen sharply among the
educational community. Teachers access and implement innovations
without always realizing their full implications for them and their students.
However, this is not necessarily a negative thing, because if no one used
innovations, little progresses would be made and there would be nothing to
evaluate. In this article you can see the relation between education and
upbringing, providing the process of preparing specialists with
continuation, using the methodic of technology of teaching extra texts and
using such kind of educational technics are the guarantee of good results.
Keywords: Internet, information and communication tools, electronic
resource, foreign language , subject.
Modernization of national school education implies, first of all, updating
its content. In this regard, special attention is paid to creating conditions for
the development of creative personal potential of students and expanding
the possibilities of advanced education, including language.
Information and communication tools, i.e. and the Internet, has become
an integral part of modern reality. The Internet can help in learning English,
since the use of ESM creates a unique opportunity for students of a foreign
language to use authentic texts, listen and communicate with native
speakers, that is, it creates a natural language environment.
The use of new information technologies in teaching English is one of
the most important aspects of improving and optimizing the educational
process, enriching the arsenal of methodological tools and techniques,
allowing to diversify the forms of work and make the lesson interesting and
memorable for students. A necessary condition for high-quality modern
education today is a harmonious combination of traditional education with
the use of advanced technologies.

The goal of modern education in Uzbekistan is the development of an
active, conscious, responsible, constructive personality. The presence of
computers, electronic materials, textbooks, encyclopedias allows you to
raise the learning process to a new level. In modern conditions, the teacher
is required to understand the characteristics of human behavior, the use of
methods based on taking into account the personal characteristics of
students.
The group form of education, which has dominated the Russian
education system for many years, in most of the methods is oriented to the
average student and does not provide an opportunity to develop the high
creative potential of each gifted child.
The advent of information technology allows you to individualize your
training according to the pace and depth of the course. Such a differentiated
approach gives a large positive result, because creates the conditions for the
success of each student, causing students positive emotions, and thus affects
their learning motivation.
Unlike traditional methods, where the teacher is used to giving and
demanding certain knowledge, when using interactive forms of learning, the
student himself becomes the main acting figure and opens the way for the
assimilation of knowledge. The teacher acts in this situation as an active
assistant, and his main function is the organization and stimulation of the
educational process.
Informatization of the education system is accompanied by studies on
the use of electronic educational resources in the educational process and
the implementation of the results of these studies in educational practice.
The potential of electronic educational resources creates the prerequisites
for its practical implementation adequate to the specifics of the study of a
particular discipline, in particular, the subject “Foreign Language”.
When selecting and including electronic educational resources for
teaching English, I relied on the principles of an activity approach, which
suggests the need to provide conditions for active independent educational
activities of students.
So in the educational process I use the following types of electronic
educational resources: demonstration materials (illustrations, photographs,
posters, presentations, diagrams with text accompaniment), interactive
tables, rules, educational dictionaries.
The classroom work of students using electronic educational resources
is a form of educationally productive activity of students performing certain
actions with ICT reference tools, interactive tables, educational dictionaries.
Forms of work using Microsoft Power Point presentations in foreign
language lessons include: learning vocabulary, teaching dialogic and
monologic speech, and working out grammatical phenomena.

They allow you to train different types of speech activity and combine
them in different combinations, help to understand linguistic phenomena,
form linguistic abilities, create communicative situations, automate
language and speech actions, and also provide the ability to take into
account the leading representative system, implement an individual
approach and intensify independent work . The introduction of the
Microsoft Power Point program into the educational process does not at all
exclude traditional teaching methods, but harmoniously combines with
them at all stages of training: familiarization, training, application, control.
One of the possible ways to use electronic educational resources in
English lessons in an educational institution is seen in the use of computer
training courses and programs in the educational process with the
introduction and activation of language forms and structures; when
teaching speech activity , to provide control over the level of formed speech
and language skills.
Computer programs provide the introduction of educational material,
modeling communication situations, organizing game tasks, monitoring and
evaluating knowledge, allowing the use of all types of visibility. The
exercises for exercises in the local network (sound and text tasks) are
offered for implementation, when working with which the trainees use a
computer as a tool for educational activity.
Control over the assimilation of knowledge on thematic sections of the
discipline is carried out when performing test tasks in testing programs
(Crab, Test Constructor).
When performing assignments of class work, students search for the
necessary language information on the Internet, which contributes to the
activation of students' independent activities. The global Internet allows you
to create the conditions for obtaining any information necessary for
participants in the educational process.
In our professional activities, we use Internet resources:
1. to include network materials in the content of the lesson, that is,
integration into the curriculum;
2. for students to independently search for information as part of the
project;
3. for independent study of a foreign language, filling in gaps in
knowledge, skills.
4. to exchange educational information.
Electronic educational resources allow you to implement the principles
of a differentiated and individual approach to learning, and thereby
contribute to the development of the individual in the process of their own
activities, are focused on the development of research skills for students,
and effectively affect the level of success in mastering a foreign language.

Projects implemented using electronic educational resources help to
diversify the classes conducted on textbooks, as well as implement a
comprehensive approach to learning and significantly increase the
motivation to learn a foreign language. Implementation of projects using
Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher programs allows you to diversify your
work, make classes more dynamic. The independent work of students using
electronic educational resources, on the one hand, contributes to effective
work on the assimilation of knowledge and mastering the methods of
activity included in the content of training in the discipline "Foreign
Language", on the other hand, satisfies the need for self-improvement in the
subject outside the required program material , and also after graduation.
