Взаимодействие в обществе предполагает взаимодействие между людьми, которое можно определить как межкультурное общение. Спонтанное общение, где говорящие могут быть разного происхождения, требует гибкого взаимодействия в языковых навыках, т.е. учёт не только языка ,но и традиций, убеждений, интеллекта и мышления участников беседы. Современное изучение и преподавание языков включает в себя использование современных технологий в учебном процессе в виде краткометражных видео клипов с участием носителей языка и их различное происхождение культуры и традиций. Использование видео заданий на уроках иностранного языка является эффективным подходом в обучении и развитии навыков межкультурного общения.
The current study examines the representation of gender stereotype in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) textbooks, namely Guess What, for elementary school pupils produced in Uzbekistan. The research aims to ascertain how gender is represented and what kinds of stereotypes expressions are used in the Guess What series by focusing on four areas; Adult Social Role Beliefs, Domestic Role Beliefs, Educational Role Beliefs, and Professional Role Beliefs concerning school type variables. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. Language is not perceived only orally or in written forms, but through visual language too, such as pictures on posters, images in books, magazines. They are ubiquitous in modern life and are of great importance to get the message, as they convey and represent particular meaning (Fairclough, 2013). English language teaching materials, which are one of the main sources of target language and culture input, have a great impact in the formation of pragmatic competence and the development of relational identity.
This conceptual paper reviews literature on the most common practices of language tests in ELT contexts around the world. The detailed discussion of various types of language tests is followed by its various aims and objectives which are linked to the qualities or characteristics of different language tests. The review of the literature reveals that language tests and its purposes vary from context to context and there is a wide range of practical constraints that test designers, test-takers, and test administrators encounter.

The author introduces the primary focus of the article, which is an exploration of commonly used materials in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes, specifically reading texts, films and videos, and computer programs. The article aims to present a comprehensive list of advantages and disadvantages associated with the use of authentic texts and materials in the classroom and the significance of incorporating authentic texts into the classroom setting and highlights that these materials serve multiple functions.
