The analysis of prehospital factors influencing the severity of the course of odontogenic purulent- inflammatory diseases and its outcome was carried out. The total number of patients during the study period was 1305 patients (2018-675, 2019-630 patients). The most common cause of the development of pyoinflammatory diseases is the lower molars. A detailed study showed that in 5 5 % of cases the tooth was removed during surgery, which indicates a low level of therapeutic and surgical debridement among the population. In patients with acute toothache, from the first day of illness, pathological changes are observed in the tissues surrounding the tooth, underestimation of this fact can lead to the development of severe purulent-inflammatory complications.
Minigastric bypass is a relatively new bariatric operation that is an effective method for reducing body weight and controlling comorbidities. In minigastric bypass, a thin, narrow tube similar to the gastric sleeve in longitudinal gastric resection is excised from the stomach and a single anastomosis is placed between this sleeve and a loop of small intestine. About two metres of the small intestine is disconnected from digestion.
Despite of advances in the treatment of food allergy, the prevalence is continuously rising. Therefore, it is very important to find the successful preventive measures for suppressing the incidence of food hypersensitivity starting from younger age. The etiology of food allergy is multifactorial. Number of risk factors, genetic polymorphisms, atopy, increased hygiene, the microbiome, vitamin D deficiency, dietary fat (reduced consumption of omega-3-polyunsaturated fatty acids), the time and route of exposure to groceries have been recognized or suggested to facilitate food allergy or sensitization. In this review we used online published sources providing relevant data on common risk factors and prevention of food allergy in children using resources from PubMed Central® (PMC), the Cochrane library and selected randomized clinical trials in children, systematic reviews and clinical guidelines.
It has now been proven that when peripheral nerves are damaged in the spinal cord, cytokines are produced (interleukin-1, interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor alpha), which contribute to the persistence of pain. Blocking cytokines reduces pain. With the development of this area of research, new prospects are associated in the development of drugs for the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain. According to V.P. Zueva (1981), in almost 60% of patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region, pathological changes in the immune system are detected. Mild and moderate severity of the purulent process (usually abscesses) cause moderate changes in the immune system. In severe phlegmon, inhibition of immunity occurs, especially pronounced in putrefactive necrotic forms, which necessitates studies of the immunobiological reactivity of the body. Thus, a dynamic assessment of the immune status in patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial and the selection of adequate methods of immunocorrection seems to be necessary. In our opinion, the study of the characteristics of changes in the nervous system, psychoemotional sphere and related disorders of neuroendocrine regulation in patients with acute odontogenic periostitis of the jaw will help expand the range of pathogenetically substantiated methods of treatment, increase the effectiveness of therapy and prevention of complications.
