ANEMIA IN HIV-INFECTED CHILDREN. We observed 315 children with a diagnosis of "HIV”. In children with perinatal HIV- infection anemia was detected in 54% of cases, in children with the parenteral way of HIV- transmission - in 71.9% of cases. The main causes of anemia in children were HIV infection, opportunistic infections (CMV, EBV, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis), as well as the side effects of antiretroviral drugs.
