This article discusses the role of summarizing as a cognitive reading strategy in second language acquisition. Understanding academic material is vital for students, and employing effective strategies is crucial in achieving this goal. Among these strategies, reading strategies play a fundamental role. Reading is central to acquiring knowledge, with each individual engaging in a unique interpretive process. Reading strategies aid in improving comprehension, enabling students to understand text accurately and appropriately. Cognitive reading strategies involve mental processes focused on handling information to facilitate learning. Summarizing, a cognitive reading strategy, involves creating a condensed version of new information obtained from listening or reading. It helps students understand the original text more effectively, analyze and evaluate content, and concentrate on crucial details. Summarizing also enhances critical thinking and writing skills, prepares learners for assessments, and facilitates language learning. Two main factors influence summary writing: the presence or absence of the original text and the characteristics of the text. These factors significantly impact the summarization process, affecting the identification of main ideas and selection of relevant information. Summary writing offers numerous advantages for understanding reading passages, making it a valuable strategy for improving comprehension, critical thinking, writing skills, assessment preparation, and language acquisition in second language acquisition contexts.
In the advent of the AI era, integrating simulation technologies in language learning has emerged as a pivotal enhancement in technical higher education. This study evaluates the utilisation and impact of such simulators in developed countries and proposes a framework for implementation in Central Asia, with a focus on Uzbekistan. The research reveals a significant trend toward immersive, simulation-based learning through a secondary analysis of academic literature, institutional reports, and educational technology firm data. Findings indicate interactive web-based platforms as the predominant simulator type, with AI-powered chatbots and VR environments also gaining traction. Despite the proven effectiveness of these simulators in bolstering technical language proficiency, challenges such as faculty resistance and a strong inclination towards traditional teaching methods persist. The study underscores the necessity for strategic planning, localised content development, and infrastructural enhancements to facilitate the adoption of simulators. Pilot programs are recommended for initial implementation, coupled with substantial capacity-building measures. Ultimately, this research provides a comprehensive roadmap for the seamless integration of simulation technologies into language learning curricula in Central Asia, signifying a transformative step towards innovative, technology-driven education systems in the region.

Social emotional learning (SEL) skills are the key components of the 21st century education that lead to higher academic, social and personal achievements of students. They support students, teachers and families to cooperate successfully to reach win-win position both in classroom and outside. It is recognized that language classes and language teachers are first-rate mediums for developing students’ SEL skills through authentic materials and activities. However, there is little research on SEL awareness of language teachers and implementation of SEL skills in teaching learning process in Uzbekistan. The study involved 16 EFL teachers through an online survey to collect quantitative data about SEL awareness of EFL teachers. This study aims to contribute
to the development of SEL focused teacher training curriculum to be implemented in professional development institutions through both pre-service and in-service trainings.

Language learning through different methods and approaches make this challenge easier and more interesting. There are several methods in language teaching can be highly effective in engaging learners and facilitating language acquisition. One of them is story-based approach, which can be employed to teach academic subjects by introducing concepts and ideas through narratives and this allows students to connect with the material on a personal level and understand its relevance and application in real-life situations. In this article the benefits of the usage of story-based approach in enhancing language learning are discussed.

The article substantiates the need to change the education strategy based on the meta-subject approach, and also reveals the possibilities of the meta-subject approach for any academic subject in distance learning conditions and examines groups of meta-skills. Meta-subject results of students include the universal learning activities they have mastered: cognitive, regulatory and communicative, which ensure mastery of key competencies that form the basis of the ability to learn, and interdisciplinary concepts.
В статье изучены влияния оксида марганца на минералогический состав клинкера и его активность. Выявлено, что при вводе 1% оксида марганца незначительно снижается количество алита, но увеличивается количество вытянутых кристаллов алита, что сказывается положительно на прочностных характеристиках цемента в 28-суточном возрасте.
В статье рассматривается влияние пандемии на успеваемость учащихся. Глобальная пандемия Covid-19, начавшаяся в 2020 году, вызвала проблемы с психическим и эмоциональным здоровьем у определенной группы студентов. Особый подход требуется к учащимся, которые столкнулись с эмоциональными и психическими проблемами, последствия которых наблюдаются до сих пор. Так как такие студенты оказываются в сложной ситуации с успеваемостью, они не могут справиться с проблемой самостоятельно. В решении этой проблемы важны такие методы, как взаимопонимание и индивидуальный подход. Кроме того, реальная профессиональная поддержка значительно улучшает решение этой задачи, стимулирует активность и познавательные способности.
В данной статье показаны различные варианты подбора и формирования экипажей на основе анализа зарубежного опыта формирования экипажей команд в академических видах гребли. Определено, что система подбора и подготовки экипажей в каждой стране имеет, с одной стороны, общие, а с другой стороны, национальные особенности.
