This study on adopting smart devices in teaching for the acquisition of 21st century employability skills by students in State Universities in Cameroon had as objective to find out the extent to which the use of smart devices in teaching can enhance the acquisition of 21st-century employability skills by students in state universities in Cameroon. Two research questions guided the study: - To what extent is the use of smart phones in teaching effective in enhancing the acquisition of 21st-century employability skills by students in State Universities in Cameroon? To what extent is the use of Laptops in teaching effective in enhancing the acquisition of 21st-century employability skills by students in State Universities in Cameroon? It was hypothesized that the use of smart devices in teaching does not significantly enhance students’ acquisition of 21st-century employability skills in state universities in Cameroon. The study based on Rogers’ (1962) diffusion of innovation theory, supposing that the adoption of a new idea, behaviour, or product does not happen simultaneously in a social system; rather, it is a process whereby some people are more apt to adopt the innovation than others and Davis (1986) technology acceptance model, which posits that the more a technology is perceived as useful and easy to use, its’ actual usage increases. The study adopted an exploratory sequential research design in a mixed-methods study. The accessible population consisted of 3666 teachers and final-year undergraduate students of eight state universities in Cameroon. Using Krejcie & Morgan (1970), 406 participants from professional faculties in five of the eight long existing state universities in Cameroon, were selected to make up the sample size, comprising 386 final-year undergraduate students, and 20 teachers. The stratified purposive sampling, and purposive sampling techniques were adopted for the study. Online Google forms alongside a paper questionnaire, and an interview guide were adopted as the study instruments. The quantitative data were analysed using SPSS version 25 with the aid of descriptive and inferential statistics. The Spearman rho test was used to test the hypotheses and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used for regression analysis. The qualitative data were analysed thematically. The findings of the study showed that the use of smart phones and laptops in teaching had a significant, moderate, and positive impact on students’ acquisition of 21st-century employability skills (r- value = 0.418**, p-value 0.000< 0.05) in state universities in Cameroon. In conclusion, the findings of the study showed that smart devices do not only help students in information sourcing but enhanced their communication skills, critical thinking & problem solving skills, creativity and team working skills. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that the state should make teaching with smart devices a policy in state universities and university teachers should be encouraged to use of smart Phones and Laptops in teaching to enhance students’ acquisition of 21st century employability. It was also recommended that government should take appropriates measure to resolve the energy crisis, internet disruptions and training challenges both teachers and students are currently facing.

This study examines the poetic devices and symbolism employed by Emily Dickinson in her renowned poem 'Because I could not stop for Death.' Through a detailed analysis, the study explores the various literary techniques employed by Dickinson to convey deeper meanings and evoke emotional responses. The use of poetic devices such as imagery, metaphor, personification, and rhyme scheme are analyzed, along with the symbolism embedded within the poem. By unraveling the intricate layers of the poem, this study provides a deeper understanding of Dickinson's poetic craftsmanship and the thematic significance of 'Because I could not stop for Death.
From the analysis of the literature, it is known that agricultural pest control devices designed to combat insects or for fishing attract flying insects, the growth of functional systems of Fish and fish larvae in one norm plays an important role in the development of light rays of optical radiation sources. Instruments with incandescent lamp, fluorescent, halogen or light-emitting semiconductor optoelectronic irradiators are widely used as sources of optical radiation in this area. When creating agricultural devices from them, light-emitting semiconductor optoelectronic devices are considered to withstand competition with performance, energy efficiency and other physical characteristics. In connection with these, the research methods and results of the study on the distribution of semiconductor optoelectronic irradiators in the air and aqueous medium as well as the spectral characteristics are described in this work.
In the article, a heating scheme of a hybrid heat and hot water supply system based on vacuum solar collectors and heat pump devices for country houses and model houses is proposed. The operating procedure of the hybrid heat and hot water supply system is presented. The hybrid heat and hot water supply system is connected to a vacuum solar collector and a heat pump device connected to an underground heat source (sewage well) through a tank accumulator. Heat-technical calculation of tank-accumulator and heat pump device is given. The energy consumption of the heat pump device used in the hybrid heat supply system is 2.5 kW, and the heat and hot water supply system produces 22, 65 kW of heat energy for the tank accumulator, which is 20÷25 more than boiler devices and electric heating devices in traditional heat and hot water supply systems. It is based on the fact that it has up to 25 times energy efficiency.
Taking into account the meteorological climate parameters of the Kashkadarya region, the heating season is 135 days, in the hybrid autonomous heat supply system of the proposed rural houses and model houses, it is possible to save 73,386 kW of electricity or use 30÷40 tons of conventional fuel due to the use of only a 2.5 kW heat pump device. It is scientifically proven that savings can be made.
Vibration is a significant issue in flow measurement devices that can lead to inaccurate measurements. This paper presents a comparative study of vibration control in two common flow measurement devices, a cantilever beam and a U-tube Coriolis mass flow meter. The study uses LabVIEW software to control and measure vibration levels in each device. Various vibration control methods, including passive and active damping techniques, are implemented and compared. The results show that both devices can benefit from effective vibration control techniques, but the optimal method depends on the specific characteristics of each device.
This research focuses on the development and implementation of oriented learning devices using Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) to enhance the mathematical abstraction skills of students in Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), or Vocational High Schools. The study involves the design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials that leverage MEAs to engage students in real-world problem-solving scenarios. Through a series of structured activities, students are guided to formulate and refine mathematical models, fostering improved abstraction abilities. The research aims to assess the effectiveness of this pedagogical approach in enhancing students' mathematical abstraction skills and its potential implications for vocational education.
