The article is devoted to the cognitive-pragmatic features of word order in advertising texts. It provides information on attracting attention, creating emotional impact, and persuading the consumer and considers the cultural context an important means of influencing the consumer. These factors increase the attractiveness, memorability, and convincingness of the advertising text.

The article describes the issues based on the role of cognitive strategies in developing intercultural competence (ICC) among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. Drawing on Bloom’s Taxonomy, the paper explores how cognitive processes such as analysis, evaluation, and synthesis contribute to understanding and navigating cultural differences. The study highlights innovative methods like task-based learning, Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, and collaborative technologies as tools to engage learners in meaningful cultural interactions. The findings emphasize the transformative potential of cognitive strategies in fostering cultural awareness and adaptability in EFL contexts.

This article explores the linguistic correlations between the explicit and implicit meanings of sports and Olympic terms. It also examines the presentation of synonymous terms, antonyms, and polysemantic terms in translation, supported by linguostatistical analysis. Additionally, the article provides a thorough analysis of the lexical-semantic and semantic-structural aspects of sports terminology.

The article focuses on the psycholinguistic study of the concept of linguistic consciousness, the emergence of psycholinguistics as a field, its foundational figures, and the analysis of concepts and units associated with linguistic consciousness within the disciplines of psycholinguistics and linguistics.

Shifting the focus of phraseological research toward humans was a significant step, as humans are the creators of the phraseological picture of the world. This article also examines idioms involving animal names that reflect human traits in phraseology, exploring their equivalents in Uzbek and English. Additionally, we provide examples of English phraseological units describing people who lack direct equivalents in Uzbek. Given our longstanding interest in both the theoretical and practical application of phraseological units across languages, we have chosen to dedicate this article to modern approaches in phraseological research.

This article studies the importance of linguistic and cultural terms in German scientific works. It covers the theoretical foundations and practical methods of researching the intersections of linguistic and cultural studies. The study also discusses issues the reflection of the national culture of linguistic units, their role in intercultural communication, and their practical significance in translation studies as well.

The contribution of linguistics to the theory and practice of translation is invaluable. However, translation encompasses much more than just linguistic theory. Before the focus shifted to semantics, translators were primarily engaged in the field of terminology. For translators, the process of translation is often viewed as the ability to select the appropriate term from the source text. Specialized terminology dictionaries have been developed to aid in this process, and much of the scientific work in translation has been dedicated to the study of terminology.

The selection of the most suitable alternative is crucial in translation, underscoring the significant role of linguistic theory. Translators aim to identify the closest equivalent in the target language to reflect the source language accurately. As such, translation should be approached as an object of both scientific inquiry and theoretical study. Emphasis should be placed on the processes of analysis and alignment, focusing on the meaning to be conveyed, the essential information to include, and the elements that require attention to achieve the intended goal.

This article explores the concept of converse language units in the Uzbek language and their features in translation. It highlights the peculiarity of the semantic structure of converses, particularly the possibility of dual interpretation of actions represented by transitive verbs. Converseness is identified as a phenomenon with a unique nature in translation studies. The analysis suggests that, before evaluating the adequacy of converse units in the translated language, it is more effective to first examine the corresponding sememe of the converse unit in the original language.

This article is dedicated to exploring the effective use of tasks in developing and enhancing students’ self-development competence. It highlights types of tasks that contribute to the development of self-awareness, independent thinking, and the ability to set personal development strategies, as well as methods of applying these tasks in educational practice. The article also presents advanced practices, methodological approaches, and evaluation results related to improving students’ self-development competence.

This article considers the theoretical foundations and practical problems of competence formation in teaching foreign languages, particularly German. The study analyzes the methods necessary for the formation of communicative, linguistic, and intercultural competencies and indicates ways to increase their effectiveness. The problems related to the use of innovative technologies in language teaching based on German language materials, increasing student motivation, and optimizing the educational process were discussed. The research also combines theoretical approaches with practical experiments.

This article explores the process of developing students' skills in working with audio materials. It offers a comprehensive overview of the types of audio texts, methods for engaging with them, and relevant strategies. Special attention is given to key techniques for enhancing the listening skills of students learning Japanese and the pivotal role of listening in preparing for proficiency-level examinations in the Japanese language.

This article examines the creative transformation and artistic embodiment of mythological plots, motifs, and traditions in world literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. The study explores mythopoetics and its role in literature, focusing on the intercultural significance of mythological symbols in works of art as interpreted through the intellectual creativity of writers. The works of Irish author James Joyce, Uzbek writer Ulugbek Hamdam, and Russian author Evgeny Vodolazkin illustrate the role of myth in the creative process and highlight its aesthetic value in contemporary literature. Furthermore, the interaction between mythology and literature is analyzed from the perspective of the spiritual needs of society.

Motivation plays a crucial role in language acquisition, especially for non-philological students who may not immediately see the relevance of learning English for their future careers. This paper explores various pedagogical approaches aimed at enhancing motivation among these learners. The study highlights effective methods such as task-based learning, gamification, and personalized learning strategies. These approaches have been shown to significantly boost engagement and interest in language learning. By adopting such strategies, educators can create a more engaging, relevant, and rewarding learning environment. This, in turn, helps improve the language proficiency of non-philological students.

This study examines the linguocultural dimensions of metaphor, metonymy, and hyperbole, highlighting their roles in reflecting and shaping cultural identity and cognitive processes. Through the analysis of English and Uzbek texts, the research identifies universal cognitive patterns and culturally specific variations in the use of these stylistic devices. Metaphors are shown to conceptualize abstract ideas through tangible experiences, metonymy simplifies complex concepts through cultural associations, and hyperbole amplifies emotional expression in ways shaped by cultural norms. The study emphasizes the interplay of these devices, offering insights into how language acts as a bridge between thought and culture.

This article analyzes the main trends in politeness strategies within directive speech acts in Spanish linguistic culture. Politeness, as a fundamental element of interpersonal communication, plays a pivotal role in issuing instructions, making requests, and giving commands. The paper explores various strategies employed in the Spanish language to soften directive speech acts, such as the use of euphemisms, conditional constructions, and specific forms of address. Particular emphasis is placed on the cultural and social factors that influence the choice of politeness strategies, alongside a comparative analysis with similar approaches in other languages, including Russian and English. The study aims to reveal the distinctive features of Spanish linguistic culture and its impact on speech behavior in the context of directive acts.

The article analyses the role of aphorisms and proverbs in paremiology. Aphorisms and proverbs features are described with clear examples. Differences and similarities of aphorisms and proverbs are analyzed in this article.

Deixis in literary works, the linguistic-poetic analysis of units and grammatical means is one of the requirements of modern linguistics. The phenomenon of deixis is a sign as a linguistic unit or set expressed by lexical and grammatical means. The study of the language of a work of art in a sociopragmatic aspect largely leads to the study of some features of the grammar of the language. These include deictic units and grammatical means in literary works. In this regard, this article provides a Deixis analysis of the stories of Kuchkar Norkobil in accordance with their relationship to space and time.  

This article examines the structural and semantic features of applicative constructions in literary texts, focusing on examples from the German language. It analyzes these constructions' linguistic characteristics, semantic significance, and stylistic functions. The author explores the communicative purposes of such constructions and their relevance to textual studies. The study provides a detailed account of the types of applicative structures found in modern German and their functions in artistic discourse.

The modern education system demands that students become active, independent, and critical thinkers. Professors not only deliver knowledge but also act as facilitators and managers of the educational process, guiding students in their independent learning journeys. Independent educational mobility is essential for meeting these demands. This article discusses the requirements of modern educational resources in fostering students' development through independent learning. It examines the role of independent learning in the educational process, the critical analysis of data by students during independent study, and the methods for verifying the reliability of their findings.

This article presents approaches, methods, and types of comparative analysis that have long attracted the attention of comparative typology scholars. Despite the variety of methods used, they are developed in accordance with the main approaches and principles. At the same time, certain principles recognized by the world scientific community are considered the most effective for language teaching.

Reading is important for educational success and personal development. However, motivating high school students to read extensively has become increasingly challenging in the digital age. This classroom research explores effective strategies to encourage high school students to read more. The findings suggest that autonomy, relevance, and interactive reading strategies play critical roles in fostering a love for reading.

 The article is devoted to the organization of experimental work on teaching English works of fiction based on dramatization. The article examines the use of dramatic elements in the process of teaching literature as a method that promotes a deeper and more emotional perception of the text. The influence of dramatization on the development of language skills, critical thinking skills and intercultural communication in students is explored. The article analyzes the results of the experiment, showing that the use of dramatization helps to improve the understanding of works, develop creativity and confidence in the use of language, as well as increase interest in literature in general.

 The structure and content of educational and methodological support are presented, highlighting the features involved in developing the psycho-pedagogical competence of doctors in alignment with their professional labor functions.

This article presents classroom research on teaching English to primary school pupils. The study incorporates methods such as storytelling, role-playing, and interactive games to enhance pupils' speaking skills. The results demonstrate that student-centered and engaging activities significantly contribute to the improvement of speaking abilities.

In the article, the main goal of modern education in an educational institution is to educate a future specialist as a fully developed person, and the main approaches to the formation of the intellectual-cognitive potential of students in the conditions of the credit-module system of education were considered.
