IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING THE INTELLECTUAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE TEACHERS THROUGH MODERN NEUROPEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Rustambek Urinov

Modern educational reforms emphasize cultivating future teachers’ higher-order thinking and cognitive skills. Neuropedagogy – the application of neuroscience findings to education – offers a theoretical and practical framework to enhance intellectual competence in teacher trainees. This article reviews the theoretical foundations of neuropedagogy and its role in strengthening learners’ cognitive abilities, and surveys modern neuropedagogical tools (e.g., virtual simulations, neurofeedback devices) in teacher education. We focus on Uzbekistan’s pedagogical universities, where recent policies (e.g. the 2030 Education Concept) call for innovative, individualized teaching methods. Uzbek research (e.g., Sotivoldiyeva, 2023) and international studies indicate that aligning instruction with brain-based principles (e.g. personalized learning, active engagement) can boost metacognitive skills such as self- regulation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. For example, using neuropedagogical virtual laboratories significantly improved Uzbek chemistry students’ understanding and reasoning (with ~88– 92% reporting gains). Similarly, pilot programs using wearable neurofeedback and adaptive learning showed marked gains in trainees’ attention, reflection, and self-management. We argue that integrating neuropedagogical technologies into Uzbekistan’s teacher training curricula – guided by national reforms – can meaningfully develop pedagogical students’ intellectual competence. Practical recommendations include adopting simulations, neuro-adaptive learning platforms, and professional development in educational neuroscience. Further research should explore localized neuropedagogy models and long-term impacts on teaching quality.

HOW CULTURAL AWARENESS IMPROVES SPEAKING INTERACTION

Yulduz Jurakulova

This article highlights how, in today’s rapidly changing world, communication among people from different nations and cultures is becoming increasingly strong. In such a context, cultural awareness—understanding the values, traditions, speech styles, and communicative behavior of other cultures—is emphasized as an essential component of effective communication. Culturally aware individuals tend to communicate more carefully, respectfully, and appropriately with their interlocutors, which helps prevent misunderstandings. Research shows that people with intercultural competence can successfully engage in communication even if they do not have perfect grammar skills. This includes responding appropriately within a cultural context and paying attention to non-verbal elements such as body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions. Additionally, approaching cultural differences with an open mind helps build trust between individuals and fosters a positive atmosphere. For language learners, taking cultural aspects into account enhances their communicative competence. For example, while directness is valued in English-speaking cultures, indirectness and polite expression are considered important in Japanese or Korean cultures. Understanding such differences allows learners to adapt their speech to the context and engage in more sincere and effective communication.

THE FUTURE OF THE ECONOMY: WHAT WILL SHAPE THE NEXT DECADE?

Madina Rafiqova, Mavluda Imomnazarova, Islombek Nazarov

As the world stands at the threshold of a new economic era, the coming decade will be defined by profound shifts in technology, climate policy, labor dynamics, and global power structures. This article explores the future of the global economy through a comprehensive lens, highlighting the key drivers expected to reshape how nations grow, compete, and cooperate. One of the most transformative forces is technological innovation, particularly the rise of artificial intelligence and automation. These technologies are expected to revolutionize industries, enhance productivity, and redefine employment, while simultaneously raising concerns about job displacement and widening skill gaps. The evolution of remote work and the global digital labor market will also play a central role in changing how people live and work. At the same time, the urgency of climate change is pushing economies to adopt greener and more sustainable practices. Investments in renewable energy, circular economic models, and environmentally responsible business practices are no longer optional—they are economic imperatives. Policymakers and businesses alike are beginning to shift from measuring success purely by GDP toward broader indicators that account for environmental health and social equity. Additionally, economic power is shifting from West to East, with countries like China, India, and the broader Asia-Pacific region emerging as key engines of global growth. As globalization evolves, supply chains are being regionalized, and new trade alliances are forming. The global economic order is becoming more fragmented, yet also more competitive and opportunity-rich. In a world marked by volatility, the future economy will demand resilience, adaptability, and inclusivity. This article argues that by embracing innovation, sustainability, and equitable growth, economies can build stronger foundations for long-term prosperity in the face of global uncertainty.

BEYOND THE LITERAL: HOW UNDERSTANDING PRAGMATICS CAN HELP US APPRECIATE THE SUBTLETY AND NUANCE OF PROVERBS

Ikboljon Axmedov

Proverbs are often viewed as fixed, culturally bound expressions of wisdom, but their true communicative power lies in how they are used—contextually, strategically, and pragmatically. This study explores how understanding the pragmatic dimensions of proverbs can deepen our appreciation of their subtlety and nuance. Drawing on 30 instances of proverb use from political speeches, online forums, and televised interviews, the study applies a discourse-analytic approach grounded in pragmatic theory, including speech act theory, Grice’s cooperative principle, and politeness strategies. Findings reveal that proverbs function primarily as indirect speech acts, often serving to advise, warn, critique, or maintain social harmony. Their meaning shifts across discourse types, and their effectiveness depends on context, speaker intent, and listener inference. In many cases, proverbs are employed to mitigate face-threatening acts or to frame ideological arguments in non-confrontational ways. The study also highlights emerging patterns of creative proverb use in digital discourse, suggesting their continued evolution and adaptability. These findings underscore the importance of teaching proverbs not as static phrases but as dynamic tools of interaction, especially in second language education and intercultural communication. Understanding how proverbs work pragmatically can enrich learners’ communicative competence and foster deeper cross-cultural sensitivity.
