This study presents a comprehensive morphometric analysis of the human cadaveric pancreas in the Assamese population. The pancreas is a vital organ involved in digestion and glucose regulation, and its morphological variations can have significant clinical implications. However, limited information exists regarding the specific characteristics of the pancreas in the Assamese population. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted a detailed examination of pancreas specimens obtained from cadavers of individuals from the Assamese population. Morphometric measurements, including length, width, and thickness of the pancreas, as well as the dimensions of its various lobes, were recorded. The data obtained were statistically analyzed to determine any significant differences or similarities compared to other populations. The findings of this study contribute to a better understanding of the morphological variations of the pancreas in the Assamese population and may have implications for clinical practice and surgical interventions in this region.
The article studies to clarify the indications for resection of the pancreas during operations for gastric cancer, to substantiate the proposed methods of resection of the pancreas and the results of surgical treatment of 79 patients with gastric cancer with invasion of the pancreas. On the basis of diagnostic data, patients with gastric cancer were divided into groups based on the depth of invasion into the pancreas. In 39 (49.4%) patients, the depth of germination is more than 5 mm, in 18 (22.8%) patients from 3 to 5 mm, and in the remaining 22 (27.9) patients, the depth of germination is up to 3 mm. Of these, after planar resection of the pancreas R1 resection in 3 (16.6%) patients. Postoperative complications were observed in 11 (13.9%) patients. Of these, mortality is 2 (2.5%). The one-year survival rate was 79.5%, and the three-year survival rate was 39.4%, and the five-year survival rate was 18.4%.
Clinically, neurotrophic disorders manifest themselves most often in acute brain diseases (strokes, injuries, meningoencephalitis, etc.), accompanied by the involvement of the hypothalamus - pituitary gland, brain stem, sympathetic and vagus nerves [3]. At the same time, the greatest functional and morphological disorders are observed in the gastrointestinal tract (ulcers, erosion, hemorrhages), lungs (edema, pneumonia) and pancreas (transient hyperglycemia) [1, p. 529] and liver (4, p. 170] Despite the fact that the main theater of action is expressed in a local catastrophe of the brain and neurological disorders, most researchers and practitioners do not pay due attention to the essential role of the "main laboratory" of the body - the morphofunctional state of the liver [7, p. 876].
